Choose TPU hot melt adhesive film high temperature or low temperature?

TPU hot melt adhesive film is also TPU film, but it is sticky. In other words, TPU hot melt adhesive film is an adhesive that can be used as a composite adhesive material. As we all know, TPU hot melt adhesive film needs to be heated, melted, and then bonded. So how to understand the relationship between several temperatures of TPU hot melt adhesive film? Ordinary friends, let's get to know you!

1.The melting point of the TPU hot melt adhesive film is also the initial flow temperature of the TPU hot melt adhesive film.

2.TPU hot melt adhesive film hot pressing temperature refers to the temperature at which it is heated to the bonding surface of the bonding material, so that the bonding surface is melted and bonded to the surface of the bonding material.

    3. The temperature of the TPU hot melt adhesive film refers to the temperature at which it begins to soften and exceeds the critical point. The relationship between the three is as follows: the temperature resistance is less than the melting point and less than the hot pressing temperature.

After understanding several temperatures of TPU hot melt adhesive film, a friend asked, "So is TPU hot melt adhesive film high temperature or low temperature?"

As for whether the TPU hot melt adhesive film is high or low temperature, in fact, this question does not hold at all. The choice of high and low temperature for TPU hot melt adhesive film only depends on the temperature that the substrate you are using can accommodate. For example, the melting point of the substrate you need to bond is 60 sushi restaurant, then the melting point of the TPU hot melt adhesive film you choose cannot exceed 60 ° C. There is no difference in quality between the high temperature and low temperature of the TPU hot melt adhesive film, only the performance is different. TPU hot melt adhesive film with high temperature and low temperature is better, just like asking - is it better for winter or summer?

In fact, we only choose TPU hot melt adhesive film for our needs such as bonding and waterproofing. We just need to find a well-known TPU hot melt adhesive film according to our needs!

TPU hot melt adhesive film vs anaerobic adhesive: "Scene flexibility" difference in automotive interior bonding
2025-09-11
From the perspective of curing conditions, TPU hot melt adhesive film does not need to rely on special environments, while anaerobic adhesives are severely restricted by "auerobicity". The curing principle of anaerobic glue is to undergo polymerization under conditions of lack of oxygen and catalyzed by metal ions (such as iron and copper). If it is in an environment where air circulation or metal substrates are not available, the curing speed will be greatly slowed down or even unable to cure. In automotive interiors, most bonding scenarios are "open" (such as bonding the door panel skin to PP substrate, and the ceiling fabric to the sponge), the air can freely contact the bonding surface, and the substrate is mostly non-metallic (PP, ABS, fabric, etc.), lacking metal ion catalysis, and additional catalyst is required when using anaerobic glue, and the curing time is as long as several hours, which is difficult to meet the needs of industrial production. The TPU hot melt adhesive film only needs to be melted by heating (120-160℃) and can be cured after pressurization and cooling. It does not need to rely on the ambient oxygen concentration or the base material. It can be cured stably in open or closed bonding scenarios, and the curing time only takes a few dozen seconds to a few minutes, adapting to the fast-paced needs of the interior production line.
