Analysis of the properties and characteristics of TPU film

The transparency of the TPU film means that the natural color test pieces of different thicknesses are intuitive and transparent, and the thickness is usually used to evaluate the effect of the transparent TPU film

Analysis of the properties and characteristics of TPU film.

Analysis of yellowing resistance grade.

The yellowing is mainly due to the phenomenon that the color of theTPU film turns yellow due to continuous ultraviolet radiation. There are various inspection standards for yellowing resistance, and the main factors include UV wattage, irradiation distance, time, temperature and humidity.

Analysis of rebound performance.

The deformation resilience of the TPU film is mainly a feature of the TPU film's immediate recovery after being deformed by an external force.

Deformation and elasticity analysis

The deformation and resilience of the TPU film are the degree of deformation per unit volume of the sample under vertical pressure, and the speed and degree of resilience after the pressure is released reflect the compressive resistance of the material.

Friction resistance analysis

The TPU film is formed by extrusion casting thermoplastic elastomer polyurethane particles. Thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer particles are heat storage materials, and the frictional heat generation, constant pressure and abrasion on the surface of the sandpaper reflect the wear resistance of the material. The abrasion resistance of polyurethane particles is closely related to the thermal performance. Friction causes the temperature to rise. The abrasion resistance is the loss of unit volume or mass, and the thermal performance is the torsion force at different temperatures. This is an important criterion for evaluating product wear and high temperature environment adaptability.

Tear resistance analysis.

The tear resistance ofTPU film refers to notched tensile tear resistance. The tear resistance of TPU film reflects the transverse physical properties of different materials, with different tear strength and tear angles, and different tear standards.

Analysis of hydrolysis resistance.

The polyether TPU film is resistant to hydrolysis and microorganisms and can be used for a long time.

Analysis of antibacterial and antifungal performance.

In harsh environments, bacteria, humidity and high temperature will cause damage to the TPU film, and the antibacterial and antifungal TPU film can effectively prevent this from happening. Antibacterial and mildew resistance are the typical characteristics of ether TPU film, which can be used in harsh and complex environments, with anti-aging and long service life.

TPU hot melt adhesive film vs anaerobic adhesive: "Scene flexibility" difference in automotive interior bonding
2025-09-11
From the perspective of curing conditions, TPU hot melt adhesive film does not need to rely on special environments, while anaerobic adhesives are severely restricted by "auerobicity". The curing principle of anaerobic glue is to undergo polymerization under conditions of lack of oxygen and catalyzed by metal ions (such as iron and copper). If it is in an environment where air circulation or metal substrates are not available, the curing speed will be greatly slowed down or even unable to cure. In automotive interiors, most bonding scenarios are "open" (such as bonding the door panel skin to PP substrate, and the ceiling fabric to the sponge), the air can freely contact the bonding surface, and the substrate is mostly non-metallic (PP, ABS, fabric, etc.), lacking metal ion catalysis, and additional catalyst is required when using anaerobic glue, and the curing time is as long as several hours, which is difficult to meet the needs of industrial production. The TPU hot melt adhesive film only needs to be melted by heating (120-160℃) and can be cured after pressurization and cooling. It does not need to rely on the ambient oxygen concentration or the base material. It can be cured stably in open or closed bonding scenarios, and the curing time only takes a few dozen seconds to a few minutes, adapting to the fast-paced needs of the interior production line.
