Why has the utilization rate of TPU film been increasing?

At present, TPU membranes are constantly developing in new fields, and it can be seen that the permeability of TPU membranes is constantly increasing. Let us introduce you to the application of Tepuyou's TPU film in inflatable bags.

TPU is mainly a new type of inflatable airbag material, which has developed rapidly in recent years. Compared with traditional blankets, PVC has obvious advantages. TPU has the properties of tensile, tear resistance, abrasion resistance, and low temperature deflection resistance unmatched by rubber or PVC. It also has good oil resistance and aging resistance.

And weather resistance. This material is superior to PVC in terms of softness and mechanical strength. It does not contain a large amount of volatile plasticizer like PVC, which causes the material to become hard and brittle, and its mechanical properties deteriorate. However, due to the high price, TPU film is mainly used for manufacturing at present, which requires high material performance.

High-end capsule materials, such as air cushions, massage chair capsule materials, rubber boats and inflatable boat capsule materials for marine operations, lifting airbag materials, military or civilian airship capsule materials, spherical membranes and liners, etc.

TPU film is a new type of sustainable modified industrial material. Through raw material modification, material formulation adjustment and production process optimization, its performance can be further optimized, its application field can be expanded, and it can be given strong sustainable vitality. The application range of TPU film is.

From the original key areas of shoes and clothing, home textiles, luxury handbags, etc., it has gradually extended to new areas such as industry and agriculture, medical industry, and electronics industry. In the future, it will follow the in-depth research and development of TPU film products to improve the technical level of the TPU film industry.

TPU film is an environmentally friendly material, this is undoubtedly, we don't need to worry or care too much. why? Because TPU is a kind of film processed by a kind of particles, and this kind of particles are environmentally friendly particles, the TPU film produced is also an environmentally friendly material. There are three points to make here.

How to judge whether TPU film

1. Smell.

The smell of TPU film is different from other plastics produced by the company, and it will not develop to produce some pungent smells, and it will not emit toxic gases. If you smell it carefully, you will smell the fragrance of the TPU film.

2. The thermoplastic polyurethane material burns, and the smoke is white smoke;

3. The decomposed TPU film can only be decomposed into water, hydrogen and oxygen after being buried in the soil for about a year, and will not cause damage to the soil;

Therefore, TPU film will not cause damage to the natural environment, nor will it cause harm to the human body, we can rest assured.

TPU hot melt adhesive film vs anaerobic adhesive: "Scene flexibility" difference in automotive interior bonding
2025-09-11
From the perspective of curing conditions, TPU hot melt adhesive film does not need to rely on special environments, while anaerobic adhesives are severely restricted by "auerobicity". The curing principle of anaerobic glue is to undergo polymerization under conditions of lack of oxygen and catalyzed by metal ions (such as iron and copper). If it is in an environment where air circulation or metal substrates are not available, the curing speed will be greatly slowed down or even unable to cure. In automotive interiors, most bonding scenarios are "open" (such as bonding the door panel skin to PP substrate, and the ceiling fabric to the sponge), the air can freely contact the bonding surface, and the substrate is mostly non-metallic (PP, ABS, fabric, etc.), lacking metal ion catalysis, and additional catalyst is required when using anaerobic glue, and the curing time is as long as several hours, which is difficult to meet the needs of industrial production. The TPU hot melt adhesive film only needs to be melted by heating (120-160℃) and can be cured after pressurization and cooling. It does not need to rely on the ambient oxygen concentration or the base material. It can be cured stably in open or closed bonding scenarios, and the curing time only takes a few dozen seconds to a few minutes, adapting to the fast-paced needs of the interior production line.
