    The cutting of TPU hot melt adhesive film has certain quality requirements. So, how about the cutting quality of TPU hot melt adhesive film? It mainly depends on the following points.

    First, the cutting width is accurate

    The width of TPU hot melt adhesive film is the basic requirement of customers, and the accuracy of the width needs to be guaranteed during cutting. When cutting TPU hot melt adhesive film, the width is determined by the knife adjusted in advance. If the machine and equipment are in good operation, the tool adjuster is responsible for it, and generally there will be no major problems.

    Second, cutting and winding are good

    Many times, the TPU hot melt adhesive film roll received by customers often deviates due to poor winding. Although this does not affect the use of glue, it sometimes affects the convenience of use. A good winding should ensure that the cutting plane is at a level for future use.

    Third, the cut film is not sticky.

    After cutting the TPU hot melt adhesive film, sometimes the cutter will heat up after working for a long time, thus heating the TPU hot melt adhesive film during the cutting process will cause the film to melt to a certain extent. At this time, when winding, it often causes self-adhesion of the film, which affects the subsequent use. This phenomenon often occurs in hot-melt adhesive film products with low melting point. In order to avoid this phenomenon, the cutting rhythm and winding speed should be properly controlled and adjusted according to the characteristics of the product.

    Fourth, the defective products should be eliminated during cutting.

    When the TPU hot melt adhesive film is reproduced, sometimes it is unavoidable to encounter defective products. Such as peeling paper, insect spots, etc. Especially in summer, because of poor control in some workshops, a large number of insect spots often appear during production at night. This is actually a good opportunity to check the adhesive film again during cutting, so it is particularly important to pick out the defective TPU hot melt adhesive film.

​From the perspective of curing conditions, TPU hot melt adhesive film does not need to rely on special environments, while anaerobic adhesives are severely restricted by "auerobicity". The curing principle of anaerobic glue is to undergo polymerization under conditions of lack of oxygen and catalyzed by metal ions (such as iron and copper). If it is in an environment where air circulation or metal substrates are not available, the curing speed will be greatly slowed down or even unable to cure. In automotive interiors, most bonding scenarios are "open" (such as bonding the door panel skin to PP substrate, and the ceiling fabric to the sponge), the air can freely contact the bonding surface, and the substrate is mostly non-metallic (PP, ABS, fabric, etc.), lacking metal ion catalysis, and additional catalyst is required when using anaerobic glue, and the curing time is as long as several hours, which is difficult to meet the needs of industrial production. The TPU hot melt adhesive film only needs to be melted by heating (120-160℃) and can be cured after pressurization and cooling. It does not need to rely on the ambient oxygen concentration or the base material. It can be cured stably in open or closed bonding scenarios, and the curing time only takes a few dozen seconds to a few minutes, adapting to the fast-paced needs of the interior production line.
