Introduction to Tpu Hot Melt Adhesive Film

Tpu Hot Melt Adhesive Film has a softer touch than other hot melt adhesive films under the same thickness, and is especially suitable for the composite bonding of textile fabrics in the clothing field. The fabric bonded by Tpu Hot Melt Adhesive Film is very comfortable for people, and it is not easy to feel plastic or uncomfortable.

The main component of Tpu Hot Melt Adhesive Film is thermosetting polyurethane material, so it is also called thermosetting polyurethane material polyurethane hot melt adhesive film. With the development of time, Tpu Hot Melt Adhesive Film is used more and more.

Polyurethane elastomer, a thermosetting material, is usually called TPU. Tpu Hot Melt Adhesive Film is produced by heating and melting TPU particles. Key production processes include lamination, hot melt coating, etc. Tpu Hot Melt Adhesive Film is a key type among many hot melt adhesive films.

The shoe material industry is one of the key uses of Tpu Hot Melt Adhesive Film. The key requirement of Tpu Hot Melt Adhesive Film in the field of shoe materials is the ultra-low temperature hot melt adhesive film with pet protective film, such as the composite of shoe body and sole.

The low temperature resistance of Tpu Hot Melt Adhesive Film is very important in practical applications. The melting point temperature of the low-temperature Tpu Hot Melt Adhesive Film is lower than that of the eva hot melt adhesive film, which is more conducive to edge discrimination in seamless splicing and pasting. It has the characteristics of fast curing speed, high adhesive compressive strength, not easy to become brittle, and has a certain degree of ductility. Tpu Hot Melt Adhesive Film has a softer touch than other hot melt adhesive films under the same thickness, and is especially suitable for the composite bonding of textile fabrics in the clothing field.

The application of Tpu Hot Melt Adhesive Film in the market is now very mature. For the bags and shoes we use in daily life, mainstream brands now basically use hot melt adhesive film, which is an environmentally friendly adhesive product for bonding.

TPU hot melt adhesive film vs anaerobic adhesive: "Scene flexibility" difference in automotive interior bonding
2025-09-11
From the perspective of curing conditions, TPU hot melt adhesive film does not need to rely on special environments, while anaerobic adhesives are severely restricted by "auerobicity". The curing principle of anaerobic glue is to undergo polymerization under conditions of lack of oxygen and catalyzed by metal ions (such as iron and copper). If it is in an environment where air circulation or metal substrates are not available, the curing speed will be greatly slowed down or even unable to cure. In automotive interiors, most bonding scenarios are "open" (such as bonding the door panel skin to PP substrate, and the ceiling fabric to the sponge), the air can freely contact the bonding surface, and the substrate is mostly non-metallic (PP, ABS, fabric, etc.), lacking metal ion catalysis, and additional catalyst is required when using anaerobic glue, and the curing time is as long as several hours, which is difficult to meet the needs of industrial production. The TPU hot melt adhesive film only needs to be melted by heating (120-160℃) and can be cured after pressurization and cooling. It does not need to rely on the ambient oxygen concentration or the base material. It can be cured stably in open or closed bonding scenarios, and the curing time only takes a few dozen seconds to a few minutes, adapting to the fast-paced needs of the interior production line.
