Adhesive surface treatment should be done before using TPU hot melt adhesive film
When using TPU hot melt adhesive film to compound products, the level of its adhesive force has a great influence on the application of the entire adhesive film, but it does not mean that the greater the viscosity, the better the product itself. For the demanders, when purchasing the adhesive film, they need to correspond one by one according to the properties of the composite materials they need to apply, that is, the performance of the adhesive film applied to different materials will be different, and the final composite effect will also be different. Big difference.

Adhesive surface treatment should be done before using TPU hot melt adhesive film

After the TPU hot melt adhesive film manufacturer has produced the adhesive film, the user needs to process the composite interface before using the adhesive film for compounding. If there are stains or obvious unevenness on the surface to be bonded, it will obviously affect the overall bonding performance. Therefore, before compounding, it is very important to do a good job of processing the surface to be compounded.

Control the temperature and time of bonding TPU hot melt adhesive film

When applying TPU hot melt adhesive films of different specifications, there are certain differences in the corresponding bonding temperature. The technicians of TPU hot melt adhesive film manufacturers said that when using different types of adhesive films for compounding, if the temperature is too low, it will cause insufficient melting and poor bonding performance. If the temperature is too high, it will also lead to a lack of glue in the entire film layer, resulting in a decrease in adhesion. In the actual application of TPU hot melt adhesive film, it is very important to pay attention to the adjustment and do a good job in temperature control.

When making composite materials, it is recommended to choose TPU hot melt adhesive film produced by regular manufacturers, which can ensure the adhesion of the entire adhesive film and meet customer requirements. At the same time, when using TPU hot melt adhesive film, attention should be paid to setting the appropriate melting conditions to ensure the best adhesive film adhesion and meet customer needs.

TPU hot melt adhesive film vs anaerobic adhesive: "Scene flexibility" difference in automotive interior bonding
2025-09-11
From the perspective of curing conditions, TPU hot melt adhesive film does not need to rely on special environments, while anaerobic adhesives are severely restricted by "auerobicity". The curing principle of anaerobic glue is to undergo polymerization under conditions of lack of oxygen and catalyzed by metal ions (such as iron and copper). If it is in an environment where air circulation or metal substrates are not available, the curing speed will be greatly slowed down or even unable to cure. In automotive interiors, most bonding scenarios are "open" (such as bonding the door panel skin to PP substrate, and the ceiling fabric to the sponge), the air can freely contact the bonding surface, and the substrate is mostly non-metallic (PP, ABS, fabric, etc.), lacking metal ion catalysis, and additional catalyst is required when using anaerobic glue, and the curing time is as long as several hours, which is difficult to meet the needs of industrial production. The TPU hot melt adhesive film only needs to be melted by heating (120-160℃) and can be cured after pressurization and cooling. It does not need to rely on the ambient oxygen concentration or the base material. It can be cured stably in open or closed bonding scenarios, and the curing time only takes a few dozen seconds to a few minutes, adapting to the fast-paced needs of the interior production line.
