    Characteristics of Tpu film

    Wide range of hardness: By changing the ratio of each reaction component of TPU, products with different hardness can be obtained, and with the increase of hardness, their products still maintain good elasticity.

    High mechanical strength: Tpu film has outstanding load-carrying capacity, impact resistance, and shock absorption performance.

    Outstanding cold resistance: The glass transition temperature of the Tpu film is relatively low, and it still maintains good elasticity, flexibility, and other physical properties at minus 35 degrees.

    Good processability: Tpu films can be processed using common processing methods of thermoplastic materials, such as injection, extrusion, calendering, and so on. At the same time, Tpu films can be processed together with certain polymer materials to obtain polymer alloys with complementary properties.

    Tpu film is formed by extrusion casting of thermoplastic elastomer polyurethane particles. Thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer particles are heat storage materials that generate heat by friction. The abrasion resistance of the material under fixed pressure and on the sandpaper surface reflects the degree of wear resistance of the material.

    The use of Tpu film is not just for clothing. Due to its wide hardness range (60HA-85HD), wear resistance, oil resistance, transparency, and good elasticity, it is recognized as a new type of polymer material with green environmental protection and excellent performance. Therefore, new technologies, new products, and new uses related to TPU are continuously developed and put into the market.

​From the perspective of curing conditions, TPU hot melt adhesive film does not need to rely on special environments, while anaerobic adhesives are severely restricted by "auerobicity". The curing principle of anaerobic glue is to undergo polymerization under conditions of lack of oxygen and catalyzed by metal ions (such as iron and copper). If it is in an environment where air circulation or metal substrates are not available, the curing speed will be greatly slowed down or even unable to cure. In automotive interiors, most bonding scenarios are "open" (such as bonding the door panel skin to PP substrate, and the ceiling fabric to the sponge), the air can freely contact the bonding surface, and the substrate is mostly non-metallic (PP, ABS, fabric, etc.), lacking metal ion catalysis, and additional catalyst is required when using anaerobic glue, and the curing time is as long as several hours, which is difficult to meet the needs of industrial production. The TPU hot melt adhesive film only needs to be melted by heating (120-160℃) and can be cured after pressurization and cooling. It does not need to rely on the ambient oxygen concentration or the base material. It can be cured stably in open or closed bonding scenarios, and the curing time only takes a few dozen seconds to a few minutes, adapting to the fast-paced needs of the interior production line.
