The polarity of the ether group in the polyether TPU and the ester group in the polyester TPU is different, and the molecular structure is different, which results in the poor compatibility of the ether group in the ester-based resin, so mixing the two will Delamination occurs.

2. The compatibility of polyester TPU and polyether TPU is also poor.

This is closely related to the intermolecular force of the ether bond. In addition, the crystallinity of polyester is generally much stronger than that of polyether, so its compatibility is also poor. But not all ethers are like this. Because the crystallinity of PTMG (polytetrahydrofuran) is similar to that of polyester, the compatibility of polyether TPU synthesized with PTMG and polyester TPU is slightly better, and it can be synthesized during the synthesis process. However, the various physical properties after processing will still be greatly reduced, and the gains outweigh the losses, so there is no need for this blending.

It can be seen that ethers and esters cannot be mixed together for processing. This is due to the differences in the molecular structure of the two, the difference in intramolecular cohesive energy, the difference in intermolecular forces, the difference in crystallinity and the difference between the two molecules. Compatibility is determined. When the two are blended and processed, there will be obvious lines on the surface of the test piece, and there will be turbidity. Even if they can barely be mixed together for processing. The finished product after processing is various physical The performance will still be greatly reduced. Especially if it cannot be used to process particularly transparent accessories, it will also be very difficult in mass production. Special care should be taken not to mix the two in the production process.

3. Chemical solvent treatment on the surface of TPU film

Chemical solvent treatment on the surface of TPU film, such as wiping, coating, etc.

The higher the ranking of the following solvent effects, the better. DMF>MEK>toluene>ethyl acetate>thana water>alcohol.

4. The choice of TPU film surface effect

Generally speaking, due to the large surface area of the matte frosted TPU film, compared with the bright or glossy TPU film, the ink adhesion is good, the color fastness is high, and it is easier to print.
