Advantages of TPU hot melt adhesive film

TPU hot melt adhesive film is an adhesive compound product widely used in industrial production. If the bonding material, area, environment, and function are not correct, the hot melt adhesive film bonding will fail.

1. The antibacterial and antifungal properties of TPU hot melt adhesive film

In harsh environments, bacteria, moisture and temperature will cause damage to the tpu film. The antibacterial and antifungal tpu film can effectively prevent these,

2. Hydrolysis resistance of TPU hot melt adhesive film

Tpu has excellent washing resistance under turbidity, strong water resistance, environmental protection, and will not be damaged after long-term use.

3. Low temperature performance of TPU hot melt adhesive film

Generally, the melting point can be as low as 40 degrees Celsius, and the thin TPU can be resistant to low temperatures.

4: Tearing performance of TPU hot melt adhesive film

TPU hot melt adhesive film has strong tear resistance, which also reflects the material's transverse physical properties, notch tear strength, notch angle and tear standard

Improper bonding process of the hot melt adhesive film will also make the bonding effect poor, such as too much or too little glue on the surface of the adherend, and the bonding time and bonding time are unstable. The bonding process of the hot melt adhesive film also differs in the gluing time, some need to be glued and then glued for a period of time, and some need to be glued immediately.

TPU hot melt adhesive film is a specification product under the category of hot melt adhesive film, which is made of polyurethane and other materials. The production and processing technology of TPU hot melt adhesive film is relatively complicated. Simply put, the production of hot melt adhesive film can generally be divided into two types: spray film and blown film. The product of the laminating process is generally a release film, which is suitable for the secondary composite process, and is mainly suitable for products: composite bonding of handicrafts; the product of the blown film process is a light film, which is suitable for direct one-step molding and composite use. The main composite products are: leather, footwear, etc.

TPU hot melt adhesive film vs anaerobic adhesive: "Scene flexibility" difference in automotive interior bonding
2025-09-11
From the perspective of curing conditions, TPU hot melt adhesive film does not need to rely on special environments, while anaerobic adhesives are severely restricted by "auerobicity". The curing principle of anaerobic glue is to undergo polymerization under conditions of lack of oxygen and catalyzed by metal ions (such as iron and copper). If it is in an environment where air circulation or metal substrates are not available, the curing speed will be greatly slowed down or even unable to cure. In automotive interiors, most bonding scenarios are "open" (such as bonding the door panel skin to PP substrate, and the ceiling fabric to the sponge), the air can freely contact the bonding surface, and the substrate is mostly non-metallic (PP, ABS, fabric, etc.), lacking metal ion catalysis, and additional catalyst is required when using anaerobic glue, and the curing time is as long as several hours, which is difficult to meet the needs of industrial production. The TPU hot melt adhesive film only needs to be melted by heating (120-160℃) and can be cured after pressurization and cooling. It does not need to rely on the ambient oxygen concentration or the base material. It can be cured stably in open or closed bonding scenarios, and the curing time only takes a few dozen seconds to a few minutes, adapting to the fast-paced needs of the interior production line.
