Looking at the quality of the TPU film, which aspects should be analyzed?
TPU films have excellent properties with a wide range of resistance to deformation, nicks and scratches, i.e. hardness. Furthermore, even with these enhanced conditions, its elasticity and abrasion resistance are still good. TPU film has the advantages of environmental protection and non-toxicity. Now our country pays more and more attention to and promotes environmental protection.

TPU film has good resistance to washing and dry cleaning, high temperature resistance of 110 degrees, low temperature resistance of minus 20 degrees, and good tensile properties. TPU film has excellent bearing capacity, strong impact resistance and vibration damping performance, and also has high mechanical strength.

From what aspects should the quality of TPU film be analyzed?

    1. Look at the viscosity of the TPU film.

    2. Smell. Good quality TPU film is odorless, while poor quality material will have some odor.

    3. Look at the gloss.

    4. Combustion performance.

    5. Processing temperature. The specific heating temperature is closely related to its internal molecular weight.

TPU film is divided into polyester type and polyether type. Polyester TPU film is relatively affordable and low in cost. Its most notable features are good wear resistance, good mechanical strength, good oil resistance, fashion and environmental protection, and excellent resilience. The market price and cost of polyether TPU film are relatively high. The most obvious features are good low temperature resistance (low temperature flexibility), good hydrolysis resistance, good hand feeling, anti-microbial corrosion, good resilience, and the semi-matte surface effect makes the product More texture.

The polyester TPU film in the TPU film has good heat resistance, chemical resistance, solvent resistance and air tightness, and the process is simple and easy, so it is widely used in various occasions to replace PVC film products. Polyether TPU film has good hydrolysis resistance, low temperature resistance, excellent antibacterial and antifungal properties, and is very suitable for water sports and medical supplies.

TPU hot melt adhesive film vs anaerobic adhesive: "Scene flexibility" difference in automotive interior bonding
2025-09-11
From the perspective of curing conditions, TPU hot melt adhesive film does not need to rely on special environments, while anaerobic adhesives are severely restricted by "auerobicity". The curing principle of anaerobic glue is to undergo polymerization under conditions of lack of oxygen and catalyzed by metal ions (such as iron and copper). If it is in an environment where air circulation or metal substrates are not available, the curing speed will be greatly slowed down or even unable to cure. In automotive interiors, most bonding scenarios are "open" (such as bonding the door panel skin to PP substrate, and the ceiling fabric to the sponge), the air can freely contact the bonding surface, and the substrate is mostly non-metallic (PP, ABS, fabric, etc.), lacking metal ion catalysis, and additional catalyst is required when using anaerobic glue, and the curing time is as long as several hours, which is difficult to meet the needs of industrial production. The TPU hot melt adhesive film only needs to be melted by heating (120-160℃) and can be cured after pressurization and cooling. It does not need to rely on the ambient oxygen concentration or the base material. It can be cured stably in open or closed bonding scenarios, and the curing time only takes a few dozen seconds to a few minutes, adapting to the fast-paced needs of the interior production line.
