Three-step efficient bonding process for TPU hot melt adhesive film

TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) hot-melt adhesive film, as a leader in the field of adhesive materials, occupies a pivotal position in the clothing manufacturing industry with its excellent hot-melt properties and extraordinary physical and chemical properties. Through a streamlined and efficient three-step process of preheating, precise fitting and efficient cooling, TPU hot melt adhesive film not only achieves seamless bonding of clothing, but also significantly promotes a leap in production efficiency. Here’s a closer look at this advanced bonding process and how it can deeply optimize garment production efficiency:

Three-step efficient bonding process for TPU hot melt adhesive film

Preheating stage: Before the application of TPU hot melt adhesive film, it is crucial to accurately control the preheating temperature and time. This step is designed to heat the hot melt adhesive film to the ideal melting state to ensure that it can fully penetrate the fabric fibers and build a strong molecular-level bonding force. The preheating parameters need to be finely adjusted according to the specific model and specifications of the TPU hot melt adhesive film to achieve the best melting effect.

Precise fit: The preheated TPU hot melt adhesive film is in the best bonding state. At this time, it needs to be quickly and evenly attached to the garment fabric to be bonded. This process requires precise operation to ensure that the hot melt adhesive film fully covers the fabric and completely eliminates bubbles and gaps to ensure the consistency and reliability of the bonding quality.

Efficient cooling and solidification: After the lamination is completed, it quickly enters the cooling stage. At this stage, the melted TPU hot melt adhesive film will solidify quickly under suitable environmental conditions to form a strong and long-lasting adhesive layer that tightly and firmly connects the fabrics together. The length of the cooling time is affected by multiple factors such as the model and specification of the hot melt adhesive film, as well as ambient temperature and humidity. It needs to be flexibly adjusted according to the actual situation to achieve the most efficient curing process.

Through the careful design and precise execution of the above three-step process, TPU hot melt adhesive film not only greatly improves the bonding efficiency and quality of clothing production, but also injects its unique process advantages into the transformation, upgrading and efficiency improvement of the clothing manufacturing industry. Strong power.

TPU hot melt adhesive film vs anaerobic adhesive: "Scene flexibility" difference in automotive interior bonding
2025-09-11
From the perspective of curing conditions, TPU hot melt adhesive film does not need to rely on special environments, while anaerobic adhesives are severely restricted by "auerobicity". The curing principle of anaerobic glue is to undergo polymerization under conditions of lack of oxygen and catalyzed by metal ions (such as iron and copper). If it is in an environment where air circulation or metal substrates are not available, the curing speed will be greatly slowed down or even unable to cure. In automotive interiors, most bonding scenarios are "open" (such as bonding the door panel skin to PP substrate, and the ceiling fabric to the sponge), the air can freely contact the bonding surface, and the substrate is mostly non-metallic (PP, ABS, fabric, etc.), lacking metal ion catalysis, and additional catalyst is required when using anaerobic glue, and the curing time is as long as several hours, which is difficult to meet the needs of industrial production. The TPU hot melt adhesive film only needs to be melted by heating (120-160℃) and can be cured after pressurization and cooling. It does not need to rely on the ambient oxygen concentration or the base material. It can be cured stably in open or closed bonding scenarios, and the curing time only takes a few dozen seconds to a few minutes, adapting to the fast-paced needs of the interior production line.
