Tepuyou will explain TPU hot melt adhesive film for everyone

    TPU hot melt adhesive film is mainly used to bond two same substances or different substances, also called double-sided tape. It has become a heat transfer material for seamless bonding of many heat-resistant textiles.

    Since the production of TPU hot melt adhesive film is a process of polymer mixing and stirring, a large number of formulas obtained by actually moving the substrate are unwilling to become the best formula, which will eliminate a lot of materials and time, which will affect the development progress. Therefore, the polymer blending theory is applied to TPU hot melt adhesive film.

    TPU hot melt adhesive film is very sensitive to temperature. When the temperature reaches a certain level, the TPU hot melt adhesive film begins to soften. When the temperature is lower than a certain temperature, the TPU hot melt adhesive film will become brittle. Therefore, the selection of TPU hot melt adhesive film must fully consider the temperature changes in the product environment.

    TPU hot melt adhesive film bonding method.

    First, cut the TPU hot melt adhesive film into the corresponding width, and bond the TPU hot melt adhesive film to the surface of the cloth through high temperature pressing. After drying, the release paper with the adhesive film removed is pressed and bonded again at high temperature according to the process requirements, which is called hot stamping seamless bonding.

    According to the material used, the TPU hot-melt adhesive film is attached to the surface of the material through high-temperature composite equipment, and then punched or cut according to the process requirements. After curing, press the release paper from which the adhesive film has been removed to the surface of the adhesive material at a high temperature;

    Due to the rapid progress of science and technology, TPU hot melt adhesive film has also developed rapidly in recent years, and it also has some characteristics of ordinary TPU film, making its application scope wider. To meet the needs of other markets.

TPU hot melt adhesive film vs anaerobic adhesive: "Scene flexibility" difference in automotive interior bonding
2025-09-11
From the perspective of curing conditions, TPU hot melt adhesive film does not need to rely on special environments, while anaerobic adhesives are severely restricted by "auerobicity". The curing principle of anaerobic glue is to undergo polymerization under conditions of lack of oxygen and catalyzed by metal ions (such as iron and copper). If it is in an environment where air circulation or metal substrates are not available, the curing speed will be greatly slowed down or even unable to cure. In automotive interiors, most bonding scenarios are "open" (such as bonding the door panel skin to PP substrate, and the ceiling fabric to the sponge), the air can freely contact the bonding surface, and the substrate is mostly non-metallic (PP, ABS, fabric, etc.), lacking metal ion catalysis, and additional catalyst is required when using anaerobic glue, and the curing time is as long as several hours, which is difficult to meet the needs of industrial production. The TPU hot melt adhesive film only needs to be melted by heating (120-160℃) and can be cured after pressurization and cooling. It does not need to rely on the ambient oxygen concentration or the base material. It can be cured stably in open or closed bonding scenarios, and the curing time only takes a few dozen seconds to a few minutes, adapting to the fast-paced needs of the interior production line.
