How to store TPU film
The highly transparent TPU film on the market can replace the material of the previous plastic film. The production of TPU film is generally a product made by melting TPU pellets and then blowing or coating them. Under harsh conditions, some molds, viruses or bacteria may affect the TPU film, forming mold spots that are difficult to remove on the surface, the quality of the TPU film will also decline, and the moldy TPU film will become waste. If stored properly, the chances of TPU film getting moldy can be greatly reduced.

How to store TPU film

    The highly transparent TPU film on the market can replace the material of the previous plastic film. The production of TPU film is generally a product made by melting TPU pellets and then blowing or coating them. Under harsh conditions, some molds, viruses or bacteria may affect the TPU film, forming mold spots that are difficult to remove on the surface, the quality of the TPU film will also decline, and the moldy TPU film will become waste. If stored properly, the chances of TPU film getting moldy can be greatly reduced. So how should the TPU film be stored?

    I believe that everyone has seen the wood stacking method in the lumber yard. Arranged horizontally in a square, the second layer is vertical, the third layer is horizontal, and so on, staggered. The correct stacking method for TPU films is also similar.

    Two types of TPU films

    1. TPU film: polyester TPU film and polyether TPU film series. Among them, polyester TPU film has good heat resistance, chemical resistance, solvent resistance, air tightness, simple process, and is widely used in various applications to replace PVC film products. Polyether TPU film has good hydrolysis resistance and low temperature resistance, excellent antibacterial and antifungal properties, very suitable as water sports and medical supplies.

    2. Tpu hot melt adhesive film series: Yes, tpu hot melt adhesive film is also a kind of TPU film. It is a TPU film that can be bonded. Different specifications of TPU hot melt adhesive film have different melting points and usage methods, and the workshop environment for manufacturing and processing will not be polluted.

    The physical properties of TPU film are mainly manifested in the following eight aspects.

​From the perspective of curing conditions, TPU hot melt adhesive film does not need to rely on special environments, while anaerobic adhesives are severely restricted by "auerobicity". The curing principle of anaerobic glue is to undergo polymerization under conditions of lack of oxygen and catalyzed by metal ions (such as iron and copper). If it is in an environment where air circulation or metal substrates are not available, the curing speed will be greatly slowed down or even unable to cure. In automotive interiors, most bonding scenarios are "open" (such as bonding the door panel skin to PP substrate, and the ceiling fabric to the sponge), the air can freely contact the bonding surface, and the substrate is mostly non-metallic (PP, ABS, fabric, etc.), lacking metal ion catalysis, and additional catalyst is required when using anaerobic glue, and the curing time is as long as several hours, which is difficult to meet the needs of industrial production. The TPU hot melt adhesive film only needs to be melted by heating (120-160℃) and can be cured after pressurization and cooling. It does not need to rely on the ambient oxygen concentration or the base material. It can be cured stably in open or closed bonding scenarios, and the curing time only takes a few dozen seconds to a few minutes, adapting to the fast-paced needs of the interior production line.
