How to choose the right temperature of tpu hot melt adhesive film

TPU hot melt adhesive film has good washability and flexibility, is a popular hot melt adhesive film among all materials, can be used as a composite bonding material.TPU hot melt adhesive film plays a bonding role between the same material and different materials, the correct choice of TPU hot melt adhesive film does not mean that the compounding of materials must be smooth, because there is a very important factor in the whole compounding process will directly affect the bonding That is the temperature, which has a great influence on the use of TPU hot melt adhesive film.

The bonding temperature is a very important factor in the use of TPU hot melt adhesive film, because TPU hot melt adhesive film can only melt and become sticky at a certain temperature.TPU hot melt adhesive film point 45 ~ 130 ℃, width 1 m ~ 1.5 m, thickness 0.02 mm ~ 2 mm, with or without base material bare mold and release paper type. Customized colors are available. It is a conventional film without release paper for one-time double-sided hot-press bonding. The advantage of TPU hot-melt adhesive film is that it can be used for bonding low melting point products. Some bonded products have a very low melting point and are easily bent and deformed by heat. This is when it can be applied to TPU hot melt adhesive film as an adhesive!

The way to avoid being affected by the working temperature of tpu film use is to choose the right tpu hot melt adhesive film. The choice of temperature suitable tpu hot melt adhesive film should be based on the melting point of the bonded material, such as the bonded material melting point is lower than the tpu hot melt adhesive film, then the adhesive film is not hot melt when using, the bonded material is damaged. Therefore, it can be concluded that the working temperature of the selected adhesive film should be less than the melting point of the bonded material.

TPU hot melt adhesive film shows good resistance to washing, flexibility and elasticity with low loss rate during production and use. The film scrap can be fully recycled during the production of the input material, which has the advantage of reducing energy consumption, activation temperature, curing time, CO2 emissions and costs.

TPU hot melt adhesive film vs anaerobic adhesive: "Scene flexibility" difference in automotive interior bonding
2025-09-11
From the perspective of curing conditions, TPU hot melt adhesive film does not need to rely on special environments, while anaerobic adhesives are severely restricted by "auerobicity". The curing principle of anaerobic glue is to undergo polymerization under conditions of lack of oxygen and catalyzed by metal ions (such as iron and copper). If it is in an environment where air circulation or metal substrates are not available, the curing speed will be greatly slowed down or even unable to cure. In automotive interiors, most bonding scenarios are "open" (such as bonding the door panel skin to PP substrate, and the ceiling fabric to the sponge), the air can freely contact the bonding surface, and the substrate is mostly non-metallic (PP, ABS, fabric, etc.), lacking metal ion catalysis, and additional catalyst is required when using anaerobic glue, and the curing time is as long as several hours, which is difficult to meet the needs of industrial production. The TPU hot melt adhesive film only needs to be melted by heating (120-160℃) and can be cured after pressurization and cooling. It does not need to rely on the ambient oxygen concentration or the base material. It can be cured stably in open or closed bonding scenarios, and the curing time only takes a few dozen seconds to a few minutes, adapting to the fast-paced needs of the interior production line.
