Characteristics of polyether tpu film

    Characteristics of tpu film

Wide hardness range: products with different hardness can be obtained by changing the ratio of each reaction component of TPU, and with the increase of hardness, the products still maintain good elasticity.

High mechanical strength: the tpu film has outstanding bearing capacity, impact resistance and shock absorption performance.

Outstanding cold resistance: the glass transition temperature of tpu film is relatively low, and it still maintains good elasticity, flexibility and other physical properties at minus 35 degrees.

Good processability: tpu film can be processed by common thermoplastic material processing methods, such as injection, extrusion, calendering, etc. At the same time, tpu film and some polymer materials can be processed together to obtain polymer alloys with complementary properties.

    Oil, water and mold resistant.

    Good recyclability.

    Characteristics of polyether tpu film

Resistant to hydrolysis. Polyether tpu film has better hydrolysis resistance, and it will not have obvious hydrolysis when it is placed in water at room temperature for 1-2 years.

Resistance to yellowing. Due to the yellowing resistance of the raw materials, the yellowing resistance grades of polyether tpu films can generally reach above grade 4.

Low temperature resistance. The polyether tpu film can still maintain good elasticity and flexibility at minus 40 ℃, without embrittlement and vitrification.

Good anti mildew and antibacterial properties. Polyether tpu film has strong growth resistance to penicillium, aspergillus, short stem mold and mixed spores.

Polyether tpu film is often used in medical products, aquatic life-saving products, aquatic sports products, etc.

tpu film is increasingly popular because of its superior performance and environmental protection concept. At present, wherever PVC is used, TPU can become a substitute for PVC. tpu film can not only fit with various fabrics, but also produce products with clear outline and stable size by vacuum thermoforming. With the continuous improvement of environmental awareness in China, TPU has been used more and more widely. Among them, the areas with relatively fast growth rate are: upper lining, thermal underwear, transparent underwear, transparent shoulder belt, elastic belt and medical breathable tape.

TPU hot melt adhesive film vs anaerobic adhesive: "Scene flexibility" difference in automotive interior bonding
2025-09-11
From the perspective of curing conditions, TPU hot melt adhesive film does not need to rely on special environments, while anaerobic adhesives are severely restricted by "auerobicity". The curing principle of anaerobic glue is to undergo polymerization under conditions of lack of oxygen and catalyzed by metal ions (such as iron and copper). If it is in an environment where air circulation or metal substrates are not available, the curing speed will be greatly slowed down or even unable to cure. In automotive interiors, most bonding scenarios are "open" (such as bonding the door panel skin to PP substrate, and the ceiling fabric to the sponge), the air can freely contact the bonding surface, and the substrate is mostly non-metallic (PP, ABS, fabric, etc.), lacking metal ion catalysis, and additional catalyst is required when using anaerobic glue, and the curing time is as long as several hours, which is difficult to meet the needs of industrial production. The TPU hot melt adhesive film only needs to be melted by heating (120-160℃) and can be cured after pressurization and cooling. It does not need to rely on the ambient oxygen concentration or the base material. It can be cured stably in open or closed bonding scenarios, and the curing time only takes a few dozen seconds to a few minutes, adapting to the fast-paced needs of the interior production line.
