What are the hot melt adhesive films? for you to know one of them

hot melt adhesive film is divided into the following types according to different components:

    1.EVA hot melt adhesive film

    2.PA hot melt adhesive film

    3.PES hot melt adhesive film

    4.PEA hot melt adhesive film

    5. TPU hot melt adhesive film

The above five types of hot melt adhesive films have different properties and different uses, each with its own advantages. Tepuyou will take you to understand one of them, TPU hot melt adhesive film.

Generally speaking, TPU hot melt adhesive film will be used in luggage, shoe material and clothing industry. Next, Tepuyou will introduce why you choose TPU hot melt adhesive film?

TPU hot melt adhesive film is a synthetic resin, a pure solid adhesive, the adhesive melts when heated, and becomes sticky after cooling. It is solvent-free, non-toxic, and non-rigid, so it has great developmental alternatives.

    Its characteristics are:

TPU hot melt adhesive film has strong bonding strength, water resistance and high elasticity, it is an environmentally friendly material, with a wide range of product hardness, strong and durable, good hand feeling, yellowing resistance, strong ability, good air permeability, low temperature resistance, low temperature resistance Good performance, good low temperature resistance. and many more.

TPU hot melt adhesive film is divided by processing temperature

    1. Low temperature TPU hot melt adhesive film

    2. Medium temperature TPU hot melt adhesive film

    3. High temperature TPU hot melt adhesive film

TPU hot melt adhesive film is different from the base material of shirt stand

    1. PVC film

    2. Pearl paper

    3. Glassine paper

TPU hot melt adhesive film using industry

    1. Leather, shoe material, super fiber, sports fabric, composite material

    2. Mobile phone cases, computer bags and other electronics industries

    3. Follow wood planks, ceramics, textiles and paper

TPU hot melt adhesive film processing range

    Thickness: 0.03-0.5mm

    Width: 100-1400mm

TPU hot melt adhesive film can replace the traditional glue function. TPU hot melt adhesive film can surpass the viscosity of any traditional glue, easy to process, low operating cost, very advantageous in price, and favored by many industries.

TPU hot melt adhesive film vs anaerobic adhesive: "Scene flexibility" difference in automotive interior bonding
2025-09-11
From the perspective of curing conditions, TPU hot melt adhesive film does not need to rely on special environments, while anaerobic adhesives are severely restricted by "auerobicity". The curing principle of anaerobic glue is to undergo polymerization under conditions of lack of oxygen and catalyzed by metal ions (such as iron and copper). If it is in an environment where air circulation or metal substrates are not available, the curing speed will be greatly slowed down or even unable to cure. In automotive interiors, most bonding scenarios are "open" (such as bonding the door panel skin to PP substrate, and the ceiling fabric to the sponge), the air can freely contact the bonding surface, and the substrate is mostly non-metallic (PP, ABS, fabric, etc.), lacking metal ion catalysis, and additional catalyst is required when using anaerobic glue, and the curing time is as long as several hours, which is difficult to meet the needs of industrial production. The TPU hot melt adhesive film only needs to be melted by heating (120-160℃) and can be cured after pressurization and cooling. It does not need to rely on the ambient oxygen concentration or the base material. It can be cured stably in open or closed bonding scenarios, and the curing time only takes a few dozen seconds to a few minutes, adapting to the fast-paced needs of the interior production line.
