Manufacturing method of color TPU film

This technical field relates to a production method of color TPU film, which belongs to the technical field of plastic industry. This production method realizes the manufacturing of color TPU film through specific processing steps and the use of raw materials, and has the advantages of high production efficiency, good light transmittance of the film, high tensile strength of the film, and high elongation at break of the film.

A method for making color TPU film, which is characterized in that the method includes the following steps: mixing, molding, melt blending, extrusion, cooling, traction and winding.

TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) film has been widely used in many fields due to its high light transmittance, high strength, high elasticity and other properties. However, existing TPU film production methods have problems such as low production efficiency, lack of bright colors, and low film strength and light transmittance when producing colored films.

This production method includes the following steps:

(1) Mixing: Add the TPU film materials and colorants into the mixer in proportion and stir for no less than 30 minutes;

(2) Mold: Pour the evenly stirred raw materials into the mold, and heat the mold to a suitable temperature;

(3) Melt blending: The raw materials in the mold are heated, melted and blended;

(4) Extrusion: The melted and blended raw materials are extruded through an extruder to form a film;

(5) Cooling: Cool the extruded film;

(6) Traction: Traction the cooled film to a predetermined length;

(7) Rewinding: Rewind the pulled film.

Among the raw materials used in this method, the TPU film material can be a variety of commercial TPU film materials, such as polyester TPU or polyurethane TPU. Colorants can use various commercial colorants, such as inorganic pigments, organic pigments or color masterbatches. In each step of this production method, the proportion of raw materials and processing parameters can be adjusted according to actual needs.

TPU hot melt adhesive film vs anaerobic adhesive: "Scene flexibility" difference in automotive interior bonding
2025-09-11
From the perspective of curing conditions, TPU hot melt adhesive film does not need to rely on special environments, while anaerobic adhesives are severely restricted by "auerobicity". The curing principle of anaerobic glue is to undergo polymerization under conditions of lack of oxygen and catalyzed by metal ions (such as iron and copper). If it is in an environment where air circulation or metal substrates are not available, the curing speed will be greatly slowed down or even unable to cure. In automotive interiors, most bonding scenarios are "open" (such as bonding the door panel skin to PP substrate, and the ceiling fabric to the sponge), the air can freely contact the bonding surface, and the substrate is mostly non-metallic (PP, ABS, fabric, etc.), lacking metal ion catalysis, and additional catalyst is required when using anaerobic glue, and the curing time is as long as several hours, which is difficult to meet the needs of industrial production. The TPU hot melt adhesive film only needs to be melted by heating (120-160℃) and can be cured after pressurization and cooling. It does not need to rely on the ambient oxygen concentration or the base material. It can be cured stably in open or closed bonding scenarios, and the curing time only takes a few dozen seconds to a few minutes, adapting to the fast-paced needs of the interior production line.
