 GreenTPU engineers teach you how to use TPU hot melt adhesive film correctly

    As a polymer material with high viscosity, hydrolysis resistance, wear resistance and other characteristics, TPU hot melt adhesive film is widely used in footwear, clothing, leather covers and other fields. High, medium and low temperature models.

    Compared with other types of adhesives, TPU hot melt adhesive film has the following advantages:

    1. Environmental protection: The polymer hot melt adhesive is an environmentally friendly material without harmful solvents.

    2. Fast bonding speed: heating and pressure, cooling and sticking.

    3. TPU hot melt adhesive film is non-sticky at room temperature: TPU hot melt adhesive film is solid at room temperature and does not stick to the hand. The TPU hot melt adhesive film can be attached to the product and sold together, which is convenient for transportation and storage.

    4. TPU hot melt adhesive film has particularly strong bonding fastness to certain materials: the bonding performance of hot melt adhesive is better than other adhesives in some fields.

    5. Temperature resistance, washing resistance, corrosion resistance, aging resistance, flame retardant and other characteristics. Research and development modification can be carried out according to customer needs.

    TPU hot melt adhesive film is widely used in the following fields:

    1. Pasting of clothing, shoes and hats signs: embroidered logos, weaving trademarks, PVC labels, leather labels.

    2. Application of conductive foam: bonding of conductive cloth, copper foil, aluminum foil and foam.

    3. Seamless combination: seamless underwear, seamless zipper, swimsuit fabric, one-piece bra.

    4. Composite materials: bonding of aluminum-plastic composite, wood-plastic composite, steel-plastic composite and other materials.

    With the professional technology and experience accumulated over the years, Tepuyou provides customers with high-quality TPU hot melt adhesive film, and at the same time shares how to use TPU hot melt adhesive film correctly in various industries

    The user first presses the TPU hot melt adhesive film to the surface of the material according to the material used (belonging to leather or cloth) through high-temperature composite equipment, and after drying, punching or electro-engraving each part customized by the template, and removes the TPU The release paper of the hot-melt adhesive film is then ironed to the surface of the mesh or other fabrics by high temperature and high pressure; in this way, it is called a seamless adhesive upper;

    Note: This seamless bonding process is suitable for all seamless sports shoes, but for different materials and different process requirements, the user needs to select the corresponding TPU hot melt adhesive film according to the requirements, and test it before using it in batches.

TPU hot melt adhesive film vs anaerobic adhesive: "Scene flexibility" difference in automotive interior bonding
2025-09-11
From the perspective of curing conditions, TPU hot melt adhesive film does not need to rely on special environments, while anaerobic adhesives are severely restricted by "auerobicity". The curing principle of anaerobic glue is to undergo polymerization under conditions of lack of oxygen and catalyzed by metal ions (such as iron and copper). If it is in an environment where air circulation or metal substrates are not available, the curing speed will be greatly slowed down or even unable to cure. In automotive interiors, most bonding scenarios are "open" (such as bonding the door panel skin to PP substrate, and the ceiling fabric to the sponge), the air can freely contact the bonding surface, and the substrate is mostly non-metallic (PP, ABS, fabric, etc.), lacking metal ion catalysis, and additional catalyst is required when using anaerobic glue, and the curing time is as long as several hours, which is difficult to meet the needs of industrial production. The TPU hot melt adhesive film only needs to be melted by heating (120-160℃) and can be cured after pressurization and cooling. It does not need to rely on the ambient oxygen concentration or the base material. It can be cured stably in open or closed bonding scenarios, and the curing time only takes a few dozen seconds to a few minutes, adapting to the fast-paced needs of the interior production line.
