1. Polyester TPU film:

Features of polyester TPU film: easy processing, better heat resistance and oil resistance than polyether TPU film. Its application range is especially high-frequency molding, TPU film leather and sports equipment are more suitable.

2. Polyether TPU film:

The sawtooth shape is not obvious after the polyether TPU film is torn.

Features of polyether TPU film: excellent hydrolysis resistance, mildew resistance and antibacterial properties. Its hydrolysis resistance is better than polyester TPU film, which can prolong the hydrolysis time. Suitable for water sports and medical equipment.

Polyester TPU film is relatively cheap and its cost is relatively low. Its most prominent features are good wear resistance, excellent mechanical strength, excellent oil and ester weather resistance, fashion and environmental protection, and good resilience.

The market price of polyether TPU film industry is relatively expensive and the cost is relatively high. The outstanding features of TPU film are good low temperature resistance (low temperature flexibility), good hydrolysis resistance, excellent hand feeling, antibacterial and anti-corrosion, better resilience, and the semi-matte effect on the appearance makes the product more textured.

When choosing a TPU film, in addition to paying attention to polyester and polyether, you also need to pay attention to the following points

1. Transparency effect of TPU film

The transparency of the TPU film represents that the original color can be intuitively clear under different thicknesses, and the transparent effect of the TPU film can be determined by the thickness.

2. Color customization of TPU film

Colored TPU films are made from color-added TPU masterbatches. The properties of TPU masterbatches and toners are determined by the stability and temperature resistance of TPU.

3. The deformation rate and rebound rate of the TPU film

The deformation resilience of the TPU film is mainly due to the immediate reduction of the TPU film being deformed by an external force. The deformation and rebound of the TPU film are the deformation degree of the unit volume of the sample under vertical pressure, and the pressure resistance of the material is judged by the rebound speed.

​From the perspective of curing conditions, TPU hot melt adhesive film does not need to rely on special environments, while anaerobic adhesives are severely restricted by "auerobicity". The curing principle of anaerobic glue is to undergo polymerization under conditions of lack of oxygen and catalyzed by metal ions (such as iron and copper). If it is in an environment where air circulation or metal substrates are not available, the curing speed will be greatly slowed down or even unable to cure. In automotive interiors, most bonding scenarios are "open" (such as bonding the door panel skin to PP substrate, and the ceiling fabric to the sponge), the air can freely contact the bonding surface, and the substrate is mostly non-metallic (PP, ABS, fabric, etc.), lacking metal ion catalysis, and additional catalyst is required when using anaerobic glue, and the curing time is as long as several hours, which is difficult to meet the needs of industrial production. The TPU hot melt adhesive film only needs to be melted by heating (120-160℃) and can be cured after pressurization and cooling. It does not need to rely on the ambient oxygen concentration or the base material. It can be cured stably in open or closed bonding scenarios, and the curing time only takes a few dozen seconds to a few minutes, adapting to the fast-paced needs of the interior production line.
