The bonding effect of TPU hot melt adhesive film is also related to the thickness of the adhesive film
When using TPU hot melt adhesive film for material compounding, in addition to the thickness of the adhesive film itself, the bonding effect of the TPU hot melt adhesive film is also related to its thickness. Generally speaking, the thicker TPU hot melt adhesive film contains more glue quality and better adhesion after compounding. However, it should be noted that due to the large thickness, the surface of the product compounded with this film will be hard and the appearance will not be very beautiful. Therefore, when selecting an adhesive film for compounding, the appropriate adhesive film should be selected according to actual needs, and the adhesive performance should not be overemphasized.

TPU hot melt adhesive film is a kind of colloidal material with better adhesion, and there are many types on the market. In the process of compounding different materials, there are certain differences in the types of TPU hot melt adhesive films that need to be used. If the quality of the selected adhesive film is poor, or the type of adhesive film used is wrong, or the material to be bonded is not suitable, etc., it may cause the TPU hot melt adhesive film to feel hard after bonding, which does not meet the composite requirements. occur.

Please choose the color of TPU hot melt adhesive film clearly. When users use adhesive films to compound different types of products, they have different requirements for colors. Some products do not have specific requirements for the color of the film. You can choose yellow film because its adhesion is much better than that of other colors. But if the items to be bonded have requirements for the color of the film, you need to choose the film of the corresponding color according to the requirements.

TPU hot melt adhesive film is usually a medium-solid adhesive film, which needs to be heated to a certain temperature for compounding. Too high or too low heating temperature will affect the viscosity of the film. Therefore, in actual compounding, it is necessary to control the hot-pressing temperature of the adhesive film to ensure that the adhesion of the entire TPU hot melt adhesive film is in the best state.

TPU hot melt adhesive film vs anaerobic adhesive: "Scene flexibility" difference in automotive interior bonding
2025-09-11
From the perspective of curing conditions, TPU hot melt adhesive film does not need to rely on special environments, while anaerobic adhesives are severely restricted by "auerobicity". The curing principle of anaerobic glue is to undergo polymerization under conditions of lack of oxygen and catalyzed by metal ions (such as iron and copper). If it is in an environment where air circulation or metal substrates are not available, the curing speed will be greatly slowed down or even unable to cure. In automotive interiors, most bonding scenarios are "open" (such as bonding the door panel skin to PP substrate, and the ceiling fabric to the sponge), the air can freely contact the bonding surface, and the substrate is mostly non-metallic (PP, ABS, fabric, etc.), lacking metal ion catalysis, and additional catalyst is required when using anaerobic glue, and the curing time is as long as several hours, which is difficult to meet the needs of industrial production. The TPU hot melt adhesive film only needs to be melted by heating (120-160℃) and can be cured after pressurization and cooling. It does not need to rely on the ambient oxygen concentration or the base material. It can be cured stably in open or closed bonding scenarios, and the curing time only takes a few dozen seconds to a few minutes, adapting to the fast-paced needs of the interior production line.
