At the same time, TPU film is a new type of industrial material that can be continuously modified. By adjusting raw materials, formulations, and production processes, it can further optimize its performance and expand its application range, thereby giving TPU film greater vitality and durability.

    TPU film has excellent performance and convenient molding process. It can not only be molded using plasticizing, mixing, and vulcanizing processes like ordinary rubber, but also be processed in various processes such as injection molding, extrusion, calendering, and blow molding in the form of liquid rubber. In addition, TPU film has excellent performance in tension, tension, toughness and anti-aging, so it is widely used in the field of shoe materials and medical treatment.

    However, just as good fortune and bad fortune depend on each other, even the most perfect products still have shortcomings. The high temperature resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, and dependence on raw material imports of TPU films have become three aspects that require attention.

    The first is the chemical resistance of TPU films, which are not resistant to strong polar solvents and strong acid base media. Alcohols, acids, and ketones can lead to the dissolution and degradation of their elastomers. At room temperature, solvents such as dichloromethane and trichloroethylene can also cause the swelling reaction of TPU.

    The second is the high temperature resistance of TPU films. Although this material has good elasticity and toughness at low temperatures, it is difficult to withstand high temperature environments. TPU has large internal heat generation and is prone to loss of elasticity and toughness under high temperature environments. The normal use temperature range is - 30 ℃ to 80 ℃, so it is not recommended to use TPU films above 120 ℃ for a long time.

    The third point to note is that for the domestic TPU film industry, its high degree of external dependence and import dependence of TPU raw materials also pose certain risks and challenges.

​From the perspective of curing conditions, TPU hot melt adhesive film does not need to rely on special environments, while anaerobic adhesives are severely restricted by "auerobicity". The curing principle of anaerobic glue is to undergo polymerization under conditions of lack of oxygen and catalyzed by metal ions (such as iron and copper). If it is in an environment where air circulation or metal substrates are not available, the curing speed will be greatly slowed down or even unable to cure. In automotive interiors, most bonding scenarios are "open" (such as bonding the door panel skin to PP substrate, and the ceiling fabric to the sponge), the air can freely contact the bonding surface, and the substrate is mostly non-metallic (PP, ABS, fabric, etc.), lacking metal ion catalysis, and additional catalyst is required when using anaerobic glue, and the curing time is as long as several hours, which is difficult to meet the needs of industrial production. The TPU hot melt adhesive film only needs to be melted by heating (120-160℃) and can be cured after pressurization and cooling. It does not need to rely on the ambient oxygen concentration or the base material. It can be cured stably in open or closed bonding scenarios, and the curing time only takes a few dozen seconds to a few minutes, adapting to the fast-paced needs of the interior production line.
