TPU hot melt adhesive film has some general characteristics of polyurethane materials

TPU hot melt adhesive film is a process for bonding two different materials, and its principle is similar to double-sided adhesive tape. It has good adhesion and washability, and is suitable for seamless bonding of heat-resistant fabrics.

TPU hot melt adhesive film is mainly used in the field of clothing accessories. Due to its good water resistance and softness, it is very suitable for the processing of clothing fabrics, such as making seamless underwear, embroidered logos and waterproof zippers, etc.

The main component of TPU hot melt adhesive film is TPU. This material is characterized by improved elasticity as the melting point temperature increases. Therefore, TPU hot melt adhesive film also has this performance.

The TPU hot melt adhesive film at low temperature has no elasticity, but the TPU hot melt adhesive film at high temperature has good elasticity.TPU hot melt adhesive film also has some common properties of polyurethane materials, such as softness, cold resistance and water resistance. Compared with other materials,TPU hot melt adhesive film is softer under the same thickness, which is very suitable for composite bonding of textile fabrics in the clothing field.

The fabric bonded by the TPU hot melt adhesive film is very comfortable to wear on the human body, without feeling of plastic or foreign body. These advantages are all due to the properties of the main component polyurethane. The above is the introduction of the raw materials of TPU hot melt adhesive film.

TPU hot melt adhesive film is a type of material in hot melt adhesive film. Its main component is TPU, an environmentally friendly material, which belongs to polyurethane elastomer rubber polymer compound. This material is non-toxic and harmless to the human body and the environment, and has the characteristics of oil resistance, water resistance, mildew resistance and chemical resistance.

Due to the characteristics of the material, the TPU hot melt adhesive film exhibits good washability, softness and elasticity. It is suitable for materials such as textiles, leather, TPU film and sponge. This hot-melt adhesive film has good adhesive properties and is widely used in many fields such as clothing, home building materials, and shoe materials.

TPU hot melt adhesive film vs anaerobic adhesive: "Scene flexibility" difference in automotive interior bonding
2025-09-11
From the perspective of curing conditions, TPU hot melt adhesive film does not need to rely on special environments, while anaerobic adhesives are severely restricted by "auerobicity". The curing principle of anaerobic glue is to undergo polymerization under conditions of lack of oxygen and catalyzed by metal ions (such as iron and copper). If it is in an environment where air circulation or metal substrates are not available, the curing speed will be greatly slowed down or even unable to cure. In automotive interiors, most bonding scenarios are "open" (such as bonding the door panel skin to PP substrate, and the ceiling fabric to the sponge), the air can freely contact the bonding surface, and the substrate is mostly non-metallic (PP, ABS, fabric, etc.), lacking metal ion catalysis, and additional catalyst is required when using anaerobic glue, and the curing time is as long as several hours, which is difficult to meet the needs of industrial production. The TPU hot melt adhesive film only needs to be melted by heating (120-160℃) and can be cured after pressurization and cooling. It does not need to rely on the ambient oxygen concentration or the base material. It can be cured stably in open or closed bonding scenarios, and the curing time only takes a few dozen seconds to a few minutes, adapting to the fast-paced needs of the interior production line.
