The relationship between TPU hot melt adhesive film and each temperature
The characteristics of TPU hot melt adhesive film include high elasticity, high toughness, weather resistance, washing resistance, dry cleaning, soft touch, strong adhesion, various raw materials, environmental protection, etc. Different specifications of TPU hot melt adhesive films have different melting temperatures, that is, high temperature and low temperature. If the heating temperature is higher than the temperature required for the TPU hot melt adhesive film, the TPU hot melt adhesive film will melt too fast or melt too much, making it easy for the glue to penetrate into the material to be adhered.

The relationship between TPU hot melt adhesive film and different temperatures

    1. The melting point of the TPU hot melt adhesive film is also the initial flow temperature of the TPU hot melt adhesive film, the temperature at which the TPU hot melt adhesive film begins to flow, and the lowest temperature for processing.

    2. Hot pressing temperature of TPU hot melt adhesive film. The hot pressing temperature refers to the temperature at which the bonding surface is heated by the protective paper to the material to be bonded, so that the bonding surface is melted and bonded to the surface of the material to be bonded.

    3. The temperature resistance of TPU hot melt adhesive film refers to the temperature at which the temperature exceeds the critical point and begins to soften. The relationship between the three is like this: temperature resistance < melting point < hot pressing temperature

TPU hot melt adhesive film is a material in hot melt adhesive film. TPU hot melt adhesive film is a new type of environmentally friendly material, which has the ability to degrade, is environmentally friendly, non-toxic, and resistant to yellowing. It is suitable for products that are in direct contact with humans. Applications of TPU hot melt adhesive films include garment bonding and sports shoe bonding.

At what temperature the TPU hot melt adhesive film has a good welding effect. The key is to look at the temperature resistance of the material to be bonded, and then select and determine the type of hot melt adhesive film to be used according to the requirements of material compatibility. The TPU hot melt adhesive film based on TPU can obtain a uniform adhesive layer through the action of heat and pressure. The product is suitable for various materials. A uniform adhesive layer can be obtained by TPU hot melt adhesive film. Through these two dimensions, the temperature of the TPU hot melt adhesive film can basically be determined, and the next step is actually proofing and testing!

TPU hot melt adhesive film vs anaerobic adhesive: "Scene flexibility" difference in automotive interior bonding
2025-09-11
From the perspective of curing conditions, TPU hot melt adhesive film does not need to rely on special environments, while anaerobic adhesives are severely restricted by "auerobicity". The curing principle of anaerobic glue is to undergo polymerization under conditions of lack of oxygen and catalyzed by metal ions (such as iron and copper). If it is in an environment where air circulation or metal substrates are not available, the curing speed will be greatly slowed down or even unable to cure. In automotive interiors, most bonding scenarios are "open" (such as bonding the door panel skin to PP substrate, and the ceiling fabric to the sponge), the air can freely contact the bonding surface, and the substrate is mostly non-metallic (PP, ABS, fabric, etc.), lacking metal ion catalysis, and additional catalyst is required when using anaerobic glue, and the curing time is as long as several hours, which is difficult to meet the needs of industrial production. The TPU hot melt adhesive film only needs to be melted by heating (120-160℃) and can be cured after pressurization and cooling. It does not need to rely on the ambient oxygen concentration or the base material. It can be cured stably in open or closed bonding scenarios, and the curing time only takes a few dozen seconds to a few minutes, adapting to the fast-paced needs of the interior production line.
