The application of TPU film and the explanation of color TPU film

    TPU film can be used in shoes, clothing, inflatable toys, water and underwater sports equipment, medical equipment, fitness equipment, car seat materials, umbrellas, luggage, wallets and other products. TPU film is widely used in the brand decoration of sports shoes, airbags, air cushion soles and shoe uppers. Now there are two trends in TPU film in sports shoes.

    Footwear: Sneakers logos, athletic insoles, hiking shoes, snowshoes, golf shoes, roller skates, fabrics and interior laminates.

    Clothing: Snow clothes, raincoats, windbreakers, winter jackets, field suits, diapers, physiological pants and other fabrics.

    Medicines: surgical gowns, hats, shoes, hospital mattresses, ice packs, bandages, plasma bags, medical dressing strips, masks and other fabrics and interior materials, as well as operating table airbags.

    TPU film has the advantages of high strength, good toughness, cold resistance, oil resistance, aging resistance, weather resistance, environmental protection, non-toxic, decomposable, waterproof and moisture-permeable, windproof, cold-resistant, warm, antibacterial, anti-ultraviolet, energy release and so on. It can be used in shoe materials, waterproof and moisture-permeable fabrics, food packaging, medical supplies, inflatable capsules, sports and leisure equipment and many other fields.

    Color TPU film is based on TPU primary color. In order to meet the color standards specified by customers, the performance of tpu masterbatch and toner is mainly determined by the stability and temperature resistance of the base color. TPU films can be subdivided according to different color numbers, which are not listed here. Usually, the customization of such products is provided by the customer with a color number, and there are certain requirements for the quantity. For most TPU film, the application of color TPU film is relatively small, mainly because there are relatively few customers who need color, and the demand is more transparent color, white matte and black, while for other color TPU films, only Some applications have special requirements.

​From the perspective of curing conditions, TPU hot melt adhesive film does not need to rely on special environments, while anaerobic adhesives are severely restricted by "auerobicity". The curing principle of anaerobic glue is to undergo polymerization under conditions of lack of oxygen and catalyzed by metal ions (such as iron and copper). If it is in an environment where air circulation or metal substrates are not available, the curing speed will be greatly slowed down or even unable to cure. In automotive interiors, most bonding scenarios are "open" (such as bonding the door panel skin to PP substrate, and the ceiling fabric to the sponge), the air can freely contact the bonding surface, and the substrate is mostly non-metallic (PP, ABS, fabric, etc.), lacking metal ion catalysis, and additional catalyst is required when using anaerobic glue, and the curing time is as long as several hours, which is difficult to meet the needs of industrial production. The TPU hot melt adhesive film only needs to be melted by heating (120-160℃) and can be cured after pressurization and cooling. It does not need to rely on the ambient oxygen concentration or the base material. It can be cured stably in open or closed bonding scenarios, and the curing time only takes a few dozen seconds to a few minutes, adapting to the fast-paced needs of the interior production line.
