The advantages and details of choosing TPU hot melt adhesive film

TPU hot melt adhesive film and other hot melt adhesive films are environmentally friendly adhesives. In terms of hot melt adhesive,TPU hot melt adhesive film can bond well with various materials and has high bond strength. Therefore, TPU hot melt adhesive film is becoming a new trend in the TPU industry and hot melt adhesive industry, attracting more and more industry attention and being widely used.

TPU hot melt adhesive film has many advantages. We summarize the following points.

    1. Environmental protection, no irritating odor, no organic solvent, environmental protection.

    2. The construction is simple, the construction only needs a simple hot pressing, which saves the trouble of gluing and gluing. The thickness of the TPU hot melt adhesive film is uniform, so there is no need to worry about the waste caused by the uneven coating.

    3. Efficient and fast bonding, effective bonding within seconds, good durability.

    4. Wide range of application. Different specifications of TPU hot melt adhesive film can be selected according to different materials.

    5. Waterproof, moisture-proof and reusable.

Details that should be paid attention to before choosing TPU hot melt adhesive film

TPU hot-melt adhesive films made of different formulations have different properties of TPU hot-melt adhesive films, and no type of adhesive is omnipotent.

Do I need to consider softness when using TPU hot melt adhesive film? Are high temperature or low temperature application needs to be considered? Do you want to wash it with water? Is it dry cleaning? Do you want to consider the expansion force?

If you have a variety of TPU hot melt adhesive films to choose from, choose the most cost-effective TPU hot melt adhesive film. When you meet your bonding requirements, choose the thinnest TPU hotmelt film available.

TPU hot melt adhesive film has excellent properties such as high strength, high toughness, wear resistance, oil resistance, cold resistance, aging resistance, environmental protection, non-toxicity and degradability. Incomparable with other plastics and rubbers.

TPU hot melt adhesive film vs anaerobic adhesive: "Scene flexibility" difference in automotive interior bonding
2025-09-11
From the perspective of curing conditions, TPU hot melt adhesive film does not need to rely on special environments, while anaerobic adhesives are severely restricted by "auerobicity". The curing principle of anaerobic glue is to undergo polymerization under conditions of lack of oxygen and catalyzed by metal ions (such as iron and copper). If it is in an environment where air circulation or metal substrates are not available, the curing speed will be greatly slowed down or even unable to cure. In automotive interiors, most bonding scenarios are "open" (such as bonding the door panel skin to PP substrate, and the ceiling fabric to the sponge), the air can freely contact the bonding surface, and the substrate is mostly non-metallic (PP, ABS, fabric, etc.), lacking metal ion catalysis, and additional catalyst is required when using anaerobic glue, and the curing time is as long as several hours, which is difficult to meet the needs of industrial production. The TPU hot melt adhesive film only needs to be melted by heating (120-160℃) and can be cured after pressurization and cooling. It does not need to rely on the ambient oxygen concentration or the base material. It can be cured stably in open or closed bonding scenarios, and the curing time only takes a few dozen seconds to a few minutes, adapting to the fast-paced needs of the interior production line.
