Temperature relationship of TPU hot melt adhesive film

    TPU hot melt adhesive film is a kind of hot melt adhesive film. TPU hot melt adhesive film is a new type of environmentally friendly material, which has the ability to degrade, is environmentally friendly, non-toxic, and resistant to yellowing. It is suitable for products that are in direct contact with humans. Many people are confused about the relationship between the melting point, hot pressing temperature and temperature resistance of TPU hot melt adhesive films. Let's take a look.

    What temperature can the substrates you are bonding to be heated to? For example, the maximum temperature resistance of your material cannot exceed 100, then you should choose a TPU hot melt adhesive film with a melting point lower than 100, because if the processing temperature does not reach the melting point of the TPU hot melt adhesive film, the TPU hot melt adhesive film will not melt. , the adhesion is almost zero;

    The melting point of the TPU hot melt adhesive film is also the initial flow temperature of the TPU hot melt adhesive film. The flow temperature is the temperature at which the TPU hot melt adhesive film begins to move, and it is also the lowest temperature for processing. The temperature resistance of TPU hot melt adhesive film refers to the temperature at which it begins to soften when the temperature exceeds the critical point. The relationship between them is as follows:

    Other types of hot melt adhesive films

    1. TPU hot melt adhesive film: low compounding temperature, good elasticity, good waterproof and breathable, more suitable for compounding leather, microfiber, textiles, jackets, sports fabrics.

    2. Eva hot melt adhesive film: It has the characteristics of high bonding strength, low compounding temperature, high light transmittance, and can be washed with water. It is more suitable for compound sports diving suits, leather, non-woven fabrics, etc.

    3.Pa hot melt adhesive mesh: washable, suitable for shirts and leather composite materials.

    4. Pes mesh has the characteristics of yellowing resistance, softness and washing resistance, and is more suitable for the composite use of some special fabrics.

    TPU hot melt adhesive film can be divided into high, medium and low temperature. Choose different temperatures according to different products in different industries, the use process is fast and convenient, and the cost is low. It is the best choice for composite bonding.

TPU hot melt adhesive film vs anaerobic adhesive: "Scene flexibility" difference in automotive interior bonding
2025-09-11
From the perspective of curing conditions, TPU hot melt adhesive film does not need to rely on special environments, while anaerobic adhesives are severely restricted by "auerobicity". The curing principle of anaerobic glue is to undergo polymerization under conditions of lack of oxygen and catalyzed by metal ions (such as iron and copper). If it is in an environment where air circulation or metal substrates are not available, the curing speed will be greatly slowed down or even unable to cure. In automotive interiors, most bonding scenarios are "open" (such as bonding the door panel skin to PP substrate, and the ceiling fabric to the sponge), the air can freely contact the bonding surface, and the substrate is mostly non-metallic (PP, ABS, fabric, etc.), lacking metal ion catalysis, and additional catalyst is required when using anaerobic glue, and the curing time is as long as several hours, which is difficult to meet the needs of industrial production. The TPU hot melt adhesive film only needs to be melted by heating (120-160℃) and can be cured after pressurization and cooling. It does not need to rely on the ambient oxygen concentration or the base material. It can be cured stably in open or closed bonding scenarios, and the curing time only takes a few dozen seconds to a few minutes, adapting to the fast-paced needs of the interior production line.
