    TPU film has excellent characteristics of high tension, high tensile strength, toughness and aging resistance, and is an environmentally friendly and mature material. It is a thermoplastic polyurethane, also known as waterproof and moisture-permeable membrane, which is an important breakthrough in the application of waterproof and breathable fabrics, overcoming many shortcomings of PVC and PU.

    TPU film can not only be well combined with various fabrics, but also can produce products with clear contours and stable dimensions by vacuum thermoforming. With the improvement of domestic environmental protection awareness, the application range of TPU film is becoming more and more extensive. The fastest growing areas include shoe upper linings, thermal underwear, transparent underwear, transparent shoulder straps, elastic bands and medical breathable tapes.

    TPU film has excellent cold resistance, its glass transition temperature is low, and it can still maintain good elasticity, flexibility and other physical properties at minus 35 degrees. TPU film also has good processing performance, and can use common thermoplastic material processing methods, such as injection, extrusion, calendering, etc. In addition, by co-processing with certain polymer materials,TPU film can also obtain polymer alloys with complementary properties.

    The hardness of TPU film ranges from 60A to 75D. When the hardness exceeds 85A, it still maintains the ductility, which is an advantage that other elastomers do not have. Therefore, the TPU film has a high load supporting function and excellent water absorption and drainage effects. It is not only a high-pressure and aging-resistant material, but also an environmentally friendly material, which is very suitable for the needs of modern customers.

    The production of TPU film is very unstable, and development and testing require advanced technology and equipment. At the same time, due to the competition of other materials and the influence of economic factors, the production of TPU film must be more efficient, and be able to repeatedly produce high-quality products to reduce costs. ​From the perspective of curing conditions, TPU hot melt adhesive film does not need to rely on special environments, while anaerobic adhesives are severely restricted by "auerobicity". The curing principle of anaerobic glue is to undergo polymerization under conditions of lack of oxygen and catalyzed by metal ions (such as iron and copper). If it is in an environment where air circulation or metal substrates are not available, the curing speed will be greatly slowed down or even unable to cure. In automotive interiors, most bonding scenarios are "open" (such as bonding the door panel skin to PP substrate, and the ceiling fabric to the sponge), the air can freely contact the bonding surface, and the substrate is mostly non-metallic (PP, ABS, fabric, etc.), lacking metal ion catalysis, and additional catalyst is required when using anaerobic glue, and the curing time is as long as several hours, which is difficult to meet the needs of industrial production. The TPU hot melt adhesive film only needs to be melted by heating (120-160℃) and can be cured after pressurization and cooling. It does not need to rely on the ambient oxygen concentration or the base material. It can be cured stably in open or closed bonding scenarios, and the curing time only takes a few dozen seconds to a few minutes, adapting to the fast-paced needs of the interior production line.
