Back List

TPU films are widely used in footwear, sporting goods, apparel, medical supplies, bags, automotive related parts and many electronic devices

TPU film can be divided into polyester and polyether.

    1.Polyester TPU film.

Polyester TPU film has a distinctive jagged appearance after tearing.

Polyester TPU film characteristics: production and processing is very easy, its temperature resistance and wear resistance is better than polyether, the application range is shaped by high frequency. TPU leather products and fitness equipment is more suitable.

    2. polyether TPU film.

The serrated appearance of polyether TPU film is not significant after tearing.

Characteristics of polyether: It has the advantages of good hydrolysis resistance, anti-mold and anti-bacteria. Its hydrolysis resistance is better than polyester and can extend the hydrolysis time. It is suitable for water play products and medical devices.

Polyurethane TPU film is a non-toxic and non-polluting new environmentally friendly material with good elasticity, slightly high, good cold resistance, no plasticizer, and no problem of poor performance due to oil spitting.

General applications of polyurethane TPU films in manufacturing include

    TPU film applications

    1、Workwear for the food industry.

2、Knee pads for safety and protective clothing.

    3、High-end fabric composites.

    4、Surface coating for leather products.

    5、Plastic hoses for parts.

    6、Waterproof band-aids.

    7, TPU film surgical towel

TPU film is made of TPU granular material in accordance with the flow casting and blown film process. At present, it is widely used in footwear: logo decoration design, airbag, air cushion cc, oil bag, etc. At present, there are two trends of TPU film in shoes: one is the popular fashion shoes set off by women, i.e. highly transparent TPU film immediately cut, or printed with screen printing in color, or catered to the cloth base made of sandwich mesh, etc. Through high-frequency machine molding bonded to the shoes, with multi-functional and decorative art effect. Second, the application of waterproof and breathable TPU film caters to the shoe fabric, thus achieving the practical effect of waterproof and breathable.

TPU hot melt adhesive film vs anaerobic adhesive: "Scene flexibility" difference in automotive interior bonding
2025-09-11
From the perspective of curing conditions, TPU hot melt adhesive film does not need to rely on special environments, while anaerobic adhesives are severely restricted by "auerobicity". The curing principle of anaerobic glue is to undergo polymerization under conditions of lack of oxygen and catalyzed by metal ions (such as iron and copper). If it is in an environment where air circulation or metal substrates are not available, the curing speed will be greatly slowed down or even unable to cure. In automotive interiors, most bonding scenarios are "open" (such as bonding the door panel skin to PP substrate, and the ceiling fabric to the sponge), the air can freely contact the bonding surface, and the substrate is mostly non-metallic (PP, ABS, fabric, etc.), lacking metal ion catalysis, and additional catalyst is required when using anaerobic glue, and the curing time is as long as several hours, which is difficult to meet the needs of industrial production. The TPU hot melt adhesive film only needs to be melted by heating (120-160℃) and can be cured after pressurization and cooling. It does not need to rely on the ambient oxygen concentration or the base material. It can be cured stably in open or closed bonding scenarios, and the curing time only takes a few dozen seconds to a few minutes, adapting to the fast-paced needs of the interior production line.
