TPU hot melt adhesive film is a kind of product with better viscosity in the film
TPU hot melt adhesive film belongs to a kind of product with relatively good viscosity in the adhesive film. In the process of compounding materials with the help of this type of product, it is necessary to pay attention to controlling the heating degree of the entire TPU hot melt adhesive film. Usually, if the heating temperature of TPU hot melt adhesive film is too high or too low, it will affect its adhesion and affect the final composite effect.

TPU hot melt adhesive film manufacturers add an appropriate amount of fillers during the production of the film, the purpose of which is to reduce the shrinkage and viscosity of the entire film, increase its gap filling, and at the same time reduce the production cost of the entire product. The amount of filler added should be appropriate, if too much is added, it will affect its fluidity and adhesion.

For TPU hot melt adhesive films of different specifications, the comparative viscosity they can produce will also vary greatly due to differences in their adhesives. TPU hot melt adhesive film manufacturers will also apply different types of production formulas to make corresponding collocations when making different types of adhesive films. If only the viscosity of the film is considered, there will be a very large difference in the final length of time.

When using TPU hot melt adhesive film to compound materials, the bonding effect is not only related to the thickness of the TPU hot melt adhesive film itself, but also has a certain relationship with its own thickness. In contrast, the thicker the film, the more glue it contains, and the better the adhesion after compounding. However, it should be noted that due to its thick thickness, the surface of the product bonded by it will be relatively hard and the aesthetics will be poor. Therefore, when you choose TPU hot melt adhesive film for compounding, remember to choose the appropriate TPU hot melt adhesive film according to your actual needs, and don't pay too much attention to its adhesive performance.

TPU hot melt adhesive film vs anaerobic adhesive: "Scene flexibility" difference in automotive interior bonding
2025-09-11
From the perspective of curing conditions, TPU hot melt adhesive film does not need to rely on special environments, while anaerobic adhesives are severely restricted by "auerobicity". The curing principle of anaerobic glue is to undergo polymerization under conditions of lack of oxygen and catalyzed by metal ions (such as iron and copper). If it is in an environment where air circulation or metal substrates are not available, the curing speed will be greatly slowed down or even unable to cure. In automotive interiors, most bonding scenarios are "open" (such as bonding the door panel skin to PP substrate, and the ceiling fabric to the sponge), the air can freely contact the bonding surface, and the substrate is mostly non-metallic (PP, ABS, fabric, etc.), lacking metal ion catalysis, and additional catalyst is required when using anaerobic glue, and the curing time is as long as several hours, which is difficult to meet the needs of industrial production. The TPU hot melt adhesive film only needs to be melted by heating (120-160℃) and can be cured after pressurization and cooling. It does not need to rely on the ambient oxygen concentration or the base material. It can be cured stably in open or closed bonding scenarios, and the curing time only takes a few dozen seconds to a few minutes, adapting to the fast-paced needs of the interior production line.
