Analysis of performance characteristics of TPU film

At present, the TPU film industry is developing rapidly in the domestic market and has become the largest downstream industry except for shoe materials. At the same time, TPU film is widely used, and this material has great development space and potential.

TPU film has high strength, good toughness, cold resistance, oil resistance, aging resistance, weather resistance, environmental protection, non-toxicity, easy decomposition, waterproof and moisture permeability, wind resistance, cold resistance, warmth retention, antibacterial, and UV resistance , Energy release resistance and other excellent properties, are widely used in shoes, moisture-permeable environmental protection fabrics, food packaging, medical supplies, airbags, sports and leisure equipment and other fields.

    Transparent effect

The transparency of the TPU film refers to the visual transparency of the natural color test pieces with different thicknesses, and the thickness is usually used to evaluate the effect of the transparent TPU film.

Analysis of performance characteristics of TPU film.

    Yellowing resistance grade

The yellowing is mainly due to the phenomenon that the color of the TPU film turns yellow due to continuous ultraviolet radiation. There are many inspection standards for resistance to yellowing, the main factors are UV wattage, irradiation distance, time, temperature, humidity, etc.

TPU film can be applied to: shoe material, plastic film, adhesive, hose, roller, plastic modified material

In harsh environments, bacteria, moisture, and high temperature can damage the TPU film. The antibacterial and anti-fungal TPU film can effectively prevent this. Antibacterial and mildew proof are the typical features of ether TPU film, which can be used in harsh and complex environments, with anti-aging and long service life.

In the future, with the deepening of TPU film research and development and the continuous improvement of industrial technology, the application field of TPU film will continue to expand.

TPU hot melt adhesive film vs anaerobic adhesive: "Scene flexibility" difference in automotive interior bonding
2025-09-11
From the perspective of curing conditions, TPU hot melt adhesive film does not need to rely on special environments, while anaerobic adhesives are severely restricted by "auerobicity". The curing principle of anaerobic glue is to undergo polymerization under conditions of lack of oxygen and catalyzed by metal ions (such as iron and copper). If it is in an environment where air circulation or metal substrates are not available, the curing speed will be greatly slowed down or even unable to cure. In automotive interiors, most bonding scenarios are "open" (such as bonding the door panel skin to PP substrate, and the ceiling fabric to the sponge), the air can freely contact the bonding surface, and the substrate is mostly non-metallic (PP, ABS, fabric, etc.), lacking metal ion catalysis, and additional catalyst is required when using anaerobic glue, and the curing time is as long as several hours, which is difficult to meet the needs of industrial production. The TPU hot melt adhesive film only needs to be melted by heating (120-160℃) and can be cured after pressurization and cooling. It does not need to rely on the ambient oxygen concentration or the base material. It can be cured stably in open or closed bonding scenarios, and the curing time only takes a few dozen seconds to a few minutes, adapting to the fast-paced needs of the interior production line.
