How to distinguish the quality of TPU film

    TPU film is a film made on the basis of TPU granular material by special processes such as calendering, calendering, blowing and coating. It not only can be laminated with various fabrics, but also can produce products with clear contours and stable dimensions by vacuum thermoforming. With the increasing awareness of environmental protection in China, the application of TPU film has become more and more extensive. Among the areas that are increasing at a relatively fast pace: shoe upper lining, thermal underwear, transparent underwear, transparent shoulder straps, elastic straps and breathable tapes for medical use.

    TPU film is non-toxic and odorless, environmentally friendly and elastic, good flatness, strong tensile strength, not easy to change color, excellent performance of high environmental protection, hand-rubbed without white, strong tensile strength, high tear, voltage can be inflated, airtightness.

    The quality of TPU film can be identified by the neatness of the cloth, flatness, good tensile strength, high color fastness and not easy to change color, and the length of service life. Abrasion resistance and bubble absorption characteristics make it easy to handle in the general environment, TPU film can maintain excellent resistance to abrasion in different environments, is one of the polymer materials, superior resistance to heat and humidity, peeling will not damage the sensor, but also to exclude foreign objects, high temperature resistance, oxidation resistance, TPU film has good oxidation resistance, generally polyester series up to 130 degrees Celsius, polyether series up to 90 degrees Celsius.

​From the perspective of curing conditions, TPU hot melt adhesive film does not need to rely on special environments, while anaerobic adhesives are severely restricted by "auerobicity". The curing principle of anaerobic glue is to undergo polymerization under conditions of lack of oxygen and catalyzed by metal ions (such as iron and copper). If it is in an environment where air circulation or metal substrates are not available, the curing speed will be greatly slowed down or even unable to cure. In automotive interiors, most bonding scenarios are "open" (such as bonding the door panel skin to PP substrate, and the ceiling fabric to the sponge), the air can freely contact the bonding surface, and the substrate is mostly non-metallic (PP, ABS, fabric, etc.), lacking metal ion catalysis, and additional catalyst is required when using anaerobic glue, and the curing time is as long as several hours, which is difficult to meet the needs of industrial production. The TPU hot melt adhesive film only needs to be melted by heating (120-160℃) and can be cured after pressurization and cooling. It does not need to rely on the ambient oxygen concentration or the base material. It can be cured stably in open or closed bonding scenarios, and the curing time only takes a few dozen seconds to a few minutes, adapting to the fast-paced needs of the interior production line.
