    TPU film is a material that uses TPU particles and is processed by extrusion technology. The film can be manufactured in four ways, including blow molding, casting, calendering or calendering sheet forming, extrusion coating. TPU film is widely used in many fields such as footwear, waterproof and moisture-permeable clothing fabrics, medical protective equipment, weapon packaging, tents, sports and leisure equipment, sanitary napkins, toys, and civilian daily necessities packaging.

    The TPU film produced by the casting process can be widely used in footwear, waterproof and breathable clothing fabrics, weapon packaging, tents, sportswear, daily necessities and other fields. The performance of TPU film is very excellent, with the following five characteristics:

    First of all,TPU film has high wear resistance. More than five times that of natural rubber, it is one of the first choice materials for wear-resistant products.

    Secondly, the tensile properties of TPU film are very strong. Its tensile strength can reach 70MPa, and its elongation at break can reach as high as 800%.

    Third, TPU film has high tear resistance. Its tear strength is superior to commonly used rubber and plastic.

    Fourth, TPU film can maintain excellent bending resistance in various environments, which is why it is one of the best choices among polymer materials.

    TPU film has good water resistance and can perform well in cloudy conditions. Compared with the complete hydrolysis of the polyester product line, the TPU film only undergoes slight hydrolysis after 1-2 years, which makes it one of the materials suitable for making environmentally friendly building materials.

​From the perspective of curing conditions, TPU hot melt adhesive film does not need to rely on special environments, while anaerobic adhesives are severely restricted by "auerobicity". The curing principle of anaerobic glue is to undergo polymerization under conditions of lack of oxygen and catalyzed by metal ions (such as iron and copper). If it is in an environment where air circulation or metal substrates are not available, the curing speed will be greatly slowed down or even unable to cure. In automotive interiors, most bonding scenarios are "open" (such as bonding the door panel skin to PP substrate, and the ceiling fabric to the sponge), the air can freely contact the bonding surface, and the substrate is mostly non-metallic (PP, ABS, fabric, etc.), lacking metal ion catalysis, and additional catalyst is required when using anaerobic glue, and the curing time is as long as several hours, which is difficult to meet the needs of industrial production. The TPU hot melt adhesive film only needs to be melted by heating (120-160℃) and can be cured after pressurization and cooling. It does not need to rely on the ambient oxygen concentration or the base material. It can be cured stably in open or closed bonding scenarios, and the curing time only takes a few dozen seconds to a few minutes, adapting to the fast-paced needs of the interior production line.
