    tpu film can be divided into two types: polyester and polyether

    1. Polyester tpu film:

    The zigzag shape is obvious after the polyester tpu film is torn.

    Features of polyester tpu film: easy processing, heat resistance and oil resistance are better than polyether tpu film. Its application range is especially high-frequency molding, tpu film leather and sports equipment are more suitable.

    2. Polyether tpu film:

    Polyether tpu film characteristics: It has the advantages of excellent hydrolysis resistance, mildew resistance and antibacterial properties. Its hydrolysis resistance is better than polyester tpu film, which can prolong the hydrolysis time. Suitable for water sports equipment and medical equipment.

    Several production methods of tpu film

    1. Extrusion method: Add the Tpu raw material into the barrel of the extruder, heat and melt, extrude the sheet-shaped tpu film, cut the edge, and wind up.

    2. Blow molding method: The molding feature of the blow molding method is to make the extruded tpu film into a tube blank through the annular gap mold, and at the same time, the compressed air is introduced from the mandrel axially, and the tpu film is clamped with a pair of clamping rods. Keep it at a constant internal pressure and expand to the desired diameter. After cooling and shaping, traction and coiling.

    3. Calendering method: It is a method of continuously forming tpu film through several axles, which are heated inside and rotate adjacent to each other. The thickness of the tpu film depends on the clearance of the last axle.

    4. Casting method: first melt, filter and defoam the TPU raw material, then send it into the casting machine, and cast the solution into a tpu film of a certain thickness through the casting nozzle.

​From the perspective of curing conditions, TPU hot melt adhesive film does not need to rely on special environments, while anaerobic adhesives are severely restricted by "auerobicity". The curing principle of anaerobic glue is to undergo polymerization under conditions of lack of oxygen and catalyzed by metal ions (such as iron and copper). If it is in an environment where air circulation or metal substrates are not available, the curing speed will be greatly slowed down or even unable to cure. In automotive interiors, most bonding scenarios are "open" (such as bonding the door panel skin to PP substrate, and the ceiling fabric to the sponge), the air can freely contact the bonding surface, and the substrate is mostly non-metallic (PP, ABS, fabric, etc.), lacking metal ion catalysis, and additional catalyst is required when using anaerobic glue, and the curing time is as long as several hours, which is difficult to meet the needs of industrial production. The TPU hot melt adhesive film only needs to be melted by heating (120-160℃) and can be cured after pressurization and cooling. It does not need to rely on the ambient oxygen concentration or the base material. It can be cured stably in open or closed bonding scenarios, and the curing time only takes a few dozen seconds to a few minutes, adapting to the fast-paced needs of the interior production line.
