Characteristics of tpu hot melt adhesive film

tpu hot melt adhesive film needs to be heated and melted to be sticky, otherwise it is almost the same as ordinary plastic film. tpu hot melt adhesive film needs to be heated and melted to be sticky, otherwise it is almost the same as ordinary plastic film. tpu hot melt adhesive film has the same characteristics as polyurethane material, and the material is cold-resistant and soft. Compared with other materials, the feel of the same thickness is softer, which is suitable for fabric bonding and integration in the clothing industry. Its adhesive fabric is very comfortable to wear on the human body, without irritation and foreign body sensation.

The raw material of tpu hot melt adhesive film is mainly composed of thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer rubber polymer, which shows good elasticity as the melting point temperature increases. Therefore, it has no elasticity at low temperatures, while the film has good elasticity at high temperatures. tpu hot melt adhesive film processing temperature: 60~160. There are various processing temperature varieties, which have the characteristics of labor-saving, high elasticity, good flexibility, strong adhesion fastness, waterproof, washing resistance, glue resistance, and environmental protection.

As a new type of hot melt adhesive product, tpu hot melt adhesive film is more convenient for continuous or intermittent operation than hot melt adhesive. It is a relatively simple viscose product. Therefore, it has been widely used in daily life. At the same time, due to the emergence of environmentally friendly TPU hot-melt adhesive films, solvent-based adhesives are gradually replaced in the shoe material manufacturing industry.

Characteristics of tpu hot melt adhesive film

A uniform adhesive layer can be obtained.

It can be stamped into a free shape to prevent the adhesive from being squeezed out.

The viscosity adjustment and solvent drying processes required in traditional adhesives can be omitted, and no high technical level is required, so that the cost can be greatly reduced.

Strong adhesion can be easily obtained by any of the following methods: high frequency heating, ultrasonic sealing, and hot pressing.

This tpu hot melt adhesive film does not use any solvent, so it will not produce any odor or fire hazard, so it has excellent processing performance and enhanced safety. There is no danger of deterioration, deterioration or hardening.

TPU hot melt adhesive film vs anaerobic adhesive: "Scene flexibility" difference in automotive interior bonding
2025-09-11
From the perspective of curing conditions, TPU hot melt adhesive film does not need to rely on special environments, while anaerobic adhesives are severely restricted by "auerobicity". The curing principle of anaerobic glue is to undergo polymerization under conditions of lack of oxygen and catalyzed by metal ions (such as iron and copper). If it is in an environment where air circulation or metal substrates are not available, the curing speed will be greatly slowed down or even unable to cure. In automotive interiors, most bonding scenarios are "open" (such as bonding the door panel skin to PP substrate, and the ceiling fabric to the sponge), the air can freely contact the bonding surface, and the substrate is mostly non-metallic (PP, ABS, fabric, etc.), lacking metal ion catalysis, and additional catalyst is required when using anaerobic glue, and the curing time is as long as several hours, which is difficult to meet the needs of industrial production. The TPU hot melt adhesive film only needs to be melted by heating (120-160℃) and can be cured after pressurization and cooling. It does not need to rely on the ambient oxygen concentration or the base material. It can be cured stably in open or closed bonding scenarios, and the curing time only takes a few dozen seconds to a few minutes, adapting to the fast-paced needs of the interior production line.
