TPU hot melt adhesive film selects different temperatures according to different products

    There are five types of hot melt adhesive films: EVA hot melt adhesive film, PA hot melt adhesive film, pes hot melt adhesive film, PEA hot melt adhesive film, and TPU hot melt adhesive film. The performance of the above five hot melt adhesive films is different. TPU hot melt adhesive film is commonly used in the luggage, footwear, and clothing industries. When processing different types of fabrics into clothing, there are different requirements for the performance of TPU hot melt adhesive films.

    TPU hot melt adhesive films are divided into high, medium, and low temperatures, and different temperatures are selected according to different products in different industries.

    The advantages of TPU hot melt adhesive film are water resistance, bending resistance, cold resistance, good adhesion, easy hydrolysis, easy processing, stable quality, low price, and wide use.

    TPU hot melt adhesive film is a synthetic resin, a pure solid adhesive that melts when heated and becomes sticky when cooled.

    Product characteristics of TPU hot melt adhesive film:

    1. TPU hot melt adhesive film has good washing resistance, but poor dry cleaning resistance;

    2. TPU hot melt adhesive film is resistant to 110 ℃ high temperature and - 20 ℃ low temperature;

    TPU hot melt adhesive film is suitable for composite bonding in the fields of sponge, leather, shoe materials, microfiber, mobile phone leather cases, computer bags, jackets, sports fabrics, ceramics, fabrics, etc.

    At the same time, TPU hot melt adhesive film also has good elasticity, which can be made into high elasticity according to requirements!

    The rapid growth of TPU hot melt adhesive films is mainly due to the development of the footwear industry and the increase in film demand. The market application of TPU hot melt adhesive film has also expanded from the traditional shoe industry to industries with excellent future development prospects such as medicine, aviation, and environmental protection. With the development of the market, it is an inevitable trend for plastics to be replaced by TPU in many industries.

    TPU hot melt adhesive film is increasingly popular with us due to its excellent performance and environmental protection concept. Currently, TPU can be used as a substitute for PVC wherever it is used. With the increasing awareness of environmental protection in China, the use of TPU hot melt adhesive films is becoming increasingly common.

TPU hot melt adhesive film vs anaerobic adhesive: "Scene flexibility" difference in automotive interior bonding
2025-09-11
From the perspective of curing conditions, TPU hot melt adhesive film does not need to rely on special environments, while anaerobic adhesives are severely restricted by "auerobicity". The curing principle of anaerobic glue is to undergo polymerization under conditions of lack of oxygen and catalyzed by metal ions (such as iron and copper). If it is in an environment where air circulation or metal substrates are not available, the curing speed will be greatly slowed down or even unable to cure. In automotive interiors, most bonding scenarios are "open" (such as bonding the door panel skin to PP substrate, and the ceiling fabric to the sponge), the air can freely contact the bonding surface, and the substrate is mostly non-metallic (PP, ABS, fabric, etc.), lacking metal ion catalysis, and additional catalyst is required when using anaerobic glue, and the curing time is as long as several hours, which is difficult to meet the needs of industrial production. The TPU hot melt adhesive film only needs to be melted by heating (120-160℃) and can be cured after pressurization and cooling. It does not need to rely on the ambient oxygen concentration or the base material. It can be cured stably in open or closed bonding scenarios, and the curing time only takes a few dozen seconds to a few minutes, adapting to the fast-paced needs of the interior production line.
