    TPU film is widely used in sports shoes: trademark decoration of sole and upper, air bag, air cushion, oil bag, etc. At present, there are two trends in the application of TPU film on sports shoes: one is the popular trend caused by Nike sports shoes, that is, TPU film is screen printed first.

    TPU film also has this high water resistance. Because the film with good permeability is generally polyether TPU film, its water solubility resistance and antibacterial property are particularly good, that is, because of its high strength, its water pressure resistance is also particularly excellent.

    The relationship between hardness and tear strength of TPU film increases rapidly with the increase of hardness, and the reason is the same as the explanation of modulus. With the increase of TPU hardness, the 100% modulus stress and 300% modulus stress increase rapidly, and the elongation decreases. This is mainly due to the increase of hard segment content: the higher the hard segment content, the easier it is for the hard segment phase to form secondary crystal or crystal structure, which increases the number of physical crosslinks and limits the deformation of the material.

    TPU film is exposed to ultraviolet ray, oxygen, etc. In general environment, it will lead to aging, degradation of product performance and yellowing of surface. The name of TPU film is thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer rubber, which is mainly divided into polyester type and polyether type. It has a wide range of hardness (60HA-85HD), wear resistance, oil resistance, transparency and good elasticity, and is widely used in daily necessities, sports goods, toys, decorative materials and other fields. Halogen-free flame retardant TPU film can also replace soft PVC to meet the environmental protection requirements in more and more fields.

    TPU film not only has most of the characteristics of rubber and ordinary plastics, but also has good comprehensive physical and chemical properties, so TPU film is also known as the future material.

​From the perspective of curing conditions, TPU hot melt adhesive film does not need to rely on special environments, while anaerobic adhesives are severely restricted by "auerobicity". The curing principle of anaerobic glue is to undergo polymerization under conditions of lack of oxygen and catalyzed by metal ions (such as iron and copper). If it is in an environment where air circulation or metal substrates are not available, the curing speed will be greatly slowed down or even unable to cure. In automotive interiors, most bonding scenarios are "open" (such as bonding the door panel skin to PP substrate, and the ceiling fabric to the sponge), the air can freely contact the bonding surface, and the substrate is mostly non-metallic (PP, ABS, fabric, etc.), lacking metal ion catalysis, and additional catalyst is required when using anaerobic glue, and the curing time is as long as several hours, which is difficult to meet the needs of industrial production. The TPU hot melt adhesive film only needs to be melted by heating (120-160℃) and can be cured after pressurization and cooling. It does not need to rely on the ambient oxygen concentration or the base material. It can be cured stably in open or closed bonding scenarios, and the curing time only takes a few dozen seconds to a few minutes, adapting to the fast-paced needs of the interior production line.
