With the rapid adoption of new energy vehicles and intelligent cockpits, seat ventilation systems have become a key feature for driving comfort. In such systems, TPU film (thermoplastic polyurethane film) is essential for manufacturing airbags and air-sealing layers. A typical seat ventilation system consists of a blower, airbags, air distribution layer, and controller. TPU film used for airbags and sealing must simultaneously meet: high airtightness, high tear strength, flexibility and fatigue resistance, and wide temperature stability (-40°C to 120°C). Common films (PE, EVA) tend to deform permanently or crack after repeated inflation/deflation cycles. TPU, with its excellent elasticity and toughness, achieves an airbag cycle life of over 400,000 cycles. Moreover, TPU is inherently non-toxic, odorless and plasticizer-free, complying with automotive interior VOC and restricted substance standards (RoHS, REACH, halogen-free, etc.).

🔧 Production recommendation: Self-adhesive TPU film is best laminated using a flatbed or roller hot press at 130-160°C, pressure 3-5 kg/cm², dwell time 5-10 seconds. It adapts perfectly to automated production lines without the need for extra tape feeding modules.
